More than that man, at least 5000 there. Main stand was full, bar away end and most of the new stand was full.

How many would Rovers expect to get every match day if there was no restrictions?
About 350 in Ferrcarrag with 30 or so Harps fans spread out in the ground. I have yet to leave that ground warm. It's right up there with Bray as being the coldest ground in Ireland.
Probably got up to 90 in Mervue last night.
I agree that charging three quid is too much, it has been all year even when we were producing programmes for each match. I don't know what they're doing with the stickers it was the same against Athlone but at least the notes in there were for the right game. As for the rest of the post, bickering over which team has the least pathetic support is downright embarrassing, in my opinion. On both sides.
Stuff on the ground improvements moved to its own thread.
2940 at the cork v bohs game
tbh with the limerick game coming up there will be also the same match program produced with stickers like the other night.. you cant really blame the editor if firstly there is not much return from selling the programs and programs do cost money to produce after all..
Better off printing team sheets and handing them out I reckon. If you put stickers over old programmes hand them out for nothing or for a euro maybe as they're already left over. Three quid is a bit much for what you get, it's not a criticism of anybody I know it's hard to get people to do anything but there's no content in it and it's one area I feel could be looked at. Just a personal opinion and I'll probably still buy it as a help to the club but others won't and may feel they're being conned.
What was worse was that it was a programme from 2008 :D
No more than 4-500 in the Carlisle tonight according to reporters. About 70 Dundalk fans.
50-70 at Fingal -v- Lims????
Shocking:ball:
wrong :)
I'd take a stab at 1,900 at Bohs-Pat's.
Didn't go myself but heard there was only 500 or so at the Drogheda Galway match. :(
We really have to minimise the number of league games being played midweek. It destroys our already pitiful attendances. Bumping the Setanta back to midweek would be a good start.
I wasn't there obviously (washing my hair) otherwise I would know if it was in fact 50 or 70 or something in between. That was the guesstimate on the Extratime Matchtracker. Before you went all James Bond on us you should also have taken notice of my question marks after the figures suggesting that I was not aware of the excact number.
So what was the official attendance....or is it a secret? or if you tell me will you have to kill me? or just really low and you would rather not say?
Judging by games of ours when similarly silly attendances have been 'estimated', something between 150 and 300 would be likely.
It was 201.
We need to cut these out completely, mid week games will never work in this country, hard enough trying to get punters thru' the gates at w/e
Maybe for Cup replays, no choice there, but no point having 4 mid week lge programmes, it just wont work.
Soluton - at bank hol w/e's - have a double header, one game on the fri night and the other on the Mon afternoon, or start the season a week earlier/finish later.
201 at Fingal last night official attendance. It didn't look that big. 327 at Limerick v Waterford on Friday night which was poor too.
Some points on this. A shorter season saves clubs not paying 52 weeks a year, even if they have to have some crap gates. It is difficlut though for those paying 52 weeks a year.
Your solution has some validity, say for first round league games all fixed for a Friday night in March and second round fixed for the Monday. Still a mid week game, but with time to promote, plus early season enthuasism gates would be about average. For those playing home on Sat, make them play away Fri on 1st weekend. All away teams then would be home on Monday night and at home in round 3 of games for normal night.
Something similar then for Easter. Full round of games good friday night and easter monday.
Thanks Lamper.sffc. And thanks for the abuse in the PM you sent.
I was shocked at some of our attendances this season. It's not like Shels are pulling in the numbers Shams are and I am sitting on a high horse laughing at all below.
I just thought that less than 100 at the match last night would have been incredibly low considering the position Fingal could and did take up. And the fact that the An Post freebies are flying around and also the fact that you may have handed out freebies to schoolboy teams and their parents who may have been playing at half time.
50-70 i thought would be shocking. Simple as.
That truly is a shocking attendance
