The man thinks he's god and some of the fans down here only encourage him.
Im thinking a battle of Louth for relegation.

Honestly i don't think we'll be in a relegation battle, if we are in a relegation battle by the summer then connor wil be gone. No way he can bring in the players he has and be in a relegation battle. Maybe Drogs as they are assemblng a squad at short notice, but i think we will be looking for a mid-table finish.
we won't be in a relegaion battle no chance in hell
George O'Callaghan confirmed signing for Dundalk FC.
http://twitter.com/dundalkfc
It's probably only a 6 month contract anyway...
I hope it works out for him, but I'm not sure Georgie is worth the efforts people have to go to in order to keep him happy. Personally I feel Cork City have dodged a bullet though a section of our support will probably start abusing Doolin now.
He's spent so long having people fawning over him, most of them in and around Cork that he believes his own press now. The first time Connor has to chastise him will be interesting.
I have to add, given the things Dundalk fans have written about CCFC offering obscene money to players, it's funny that you've ended up with a player Paul Doolin didn't even consider because of the budget he's working under.
To quote countless number of Cork lads on here, I don't believe your manager he's a spoofer blah blah blah.
Where did any Dundalk fan say that Cork where offering obscene money to players?? Most just think it's strange (and maybe unfair) that you nearly went to the wall three months ago and now can financially out-muscle most teams in the league Dundalk included.
I think both Dundalk and Cork are overspending, so we`ll just have to see how it goes.
O'Donnell v O'Callaghan
Hard one to call who is the better player, O'Donnell appears to be more of a settled individual in terms of how he can be managed, but O'Callaghan is vastly more experienced
I think you`ll find all the bickering is down to fans annyoyed at 'losing out' to players
As always they will go where the money is.............................
Was on local radio sports news here in Galway that both Derry and Dundalk inquired about Jay O'Shea this morning.Nothing's come of it though, thank God.
It was never a decision of O'Donnell -v- O'Callaghan [in my opinion, before I'm jumped on] if you think you've gotten one over on us here, believe away. Georgie is an incredibly talented footballer, and if he'd had the right people around him, he could have been a great one, but he's way more hassle than he's worth and he'll probably be disruptive in your dressing room.
As I said, I hope it works out for him. Lovely fella, just damaged goods at this stage.
So CCFC could easily have afforded to sign O'Callaghan as well as O'Donnell if Doolin had wanted to? (Genuine question by the way, not sarcasm).
How did you make that out? For the record, I'd have preferred O'Donnell over O'Callaghan for the reasons you mention.
Hehehe
Your being to kind.:o
George was lurking around last week at a City game.(in my opinion he was hoping to be spotted)but thanks be to God Paul Doolin did not even know he was there.
That's not what I meant, even if we'd failed to land O'Donnell I doubt we'd have gone after O'Callaghan, I genuinely don't think it was ever on the cards. I don't think whatever money was there would have been earmarked to bring Georgie back.
As for could we have afforded both?, possibly, if Georgie was realistic about the state of the league and what the club could afford to pay, Doolin has implied that there may be up to two more signings this week so there must be some room in the budget he's been given.
If Connor can get the best out of him, O'Callaghan could be one of the best players in the league, I'm just not sure how likely that is. One thing for certain, he'll be well up for games against Cork City.
Hmmm where are Dundalk getting all this money.:p
what a signing
To be honest i am not envious of your new signing - he blows very hot and cold and drifts out of games. He likes to sulk and never lasts long at a club with some agro - not a great man for club loyalty and knuckling down when the going is tough.
No doubt about it, Dundalk have assembled an impressive squad.
But Connor will have his work cut out managing some of them.
Turner, Collins, Rogers and O'Callaghan, good luck !
By jesus there's gonna be some craic at Dundalk games this year with those 4:D
Is the transfer deadline tonight ?
Greg O'Halloran has signed for Cork City today.
Don't know what to make of that since we let Darragh Ryan go, a far better player than him, who incidentally signed for St.Pat's today.
Strange one tonight. Mark Leech played last 15 minutes for Pats against Monaghan. A lad who is signed was brought on before him so no idea what the story is
Here what happened to yond boy Shane Barrett who left Shels 3 weeks after signing for them?
