Early days yet, they're only just started back to pre-season. Was just passing on what I heard, I don't know anything more other than that it came indirectly from our sponsor.
I highly doubt it'd be him, and he can't play outside the UK at the moment anyway!
Yeah I was only joking. Some Maltese side tried to sign him, but as he couldn't leave the UK that scuppered the move. We could do with another winger to be honest as well as a striker.
That was Hibs (Malta version), and it was a spoof. A very dodgy group tried to get Hibs to sign him, but the club refused, so the group went public to force their hand. Only heard the "full" story from a friend of mine from there who is up in Russia on business. I asked him what the craic was and he said it's the Vaughans. (Google them, it's a story perfect for Guy Ritchie)
Going off topic but if Evans wanted to sign for a club in the LOI but lived in england/the North would it be possible or is he Simply banned from WORKING in another country
Aye, but that's hardly convenient. Plus you'd have the added hassle of the locals looking at you with suspicion because you're not from Derry.
I don't even require a passport when I fly from Liverpool to Derry or back. Neither Ryanair nor EasyJet require domestic passengers to travel with passports now. A driving licence or national ID card will suffice.
It's not that Ched Evans is specifically barred from working abroad. At least I don't think that is the case anyway. As far as I know, he is required to meet regularly with probation officers from the Ministry of Justice as well as participate in treatment programmes in the UK. Obviously, working abroad would pose great difficulty in terms of him being able to attend these meetings. I'm not sure if he has to meet the officers or attend the programmes at some specifically designated location within the UK or whether he can decide where it is within the UK he wants to meet/attend. I'd imagine the MOJ call the shots, which means even moving to, say, Derry might be an issue for him if they want him to meet or attend something in Wales or wherever.

It's not happening lads. Derry are letting go of local heroes because of their budget. They're not going to sign Ched ****ing Evans in their place...Quote:
The spokesperson added: "We are determined to have one of the toughest regimes in the world for managing sex offenders, to stop them reoffending and to protect victims.
"Probation officers must give permission for sex offenders on licence to take up new jobs and this includes ensuring they hold regular face to face meetings - this effectively rules out working abroad.
"The offenders will also be subject to strict conditions such as exclusion zones, non-contact orders and having to attend sex offender treatment programmes."

Georgie didn't last too long in Malaysia. Hadn't realised he signed El Hadji Diouf there as well as Eamon Zayed.
And Caleb Folan playing in the Myanmar league?
That's a strange one.
I flew Derry-Liverpool three weeks ago with just a driving licence. Nothing has changed since, according to this: http://www.ryanair.com/en/questions/do-i-need-a-visa/
Many threads digress, ive often been at fault but acceptable ID on internal UK Ryanair flights was not one I expected on the transfers rumour thread...
Athlone have signed Daniel Purdy from Rovers B and Gary Burke from UCD. Purdy is a good signing for them. Waste of a year for him last year.
