It seems not, again from what Foster said -
So either it's entirely about the wages or Foster's talking rubbish.Quote:

I don't know where you got the idea that he is moaning to get sacked, who else would employ him? I think the simple fact is he's a moany git but as long as the performances are ok Dundalk fans will tolerate it. A few bad performances or losses and the shed will be very quick to turn on him
I should have said, I reckon....... as a preface. I think he's a good coach, a clever guy, and decent. He's not a patch on Lilywhite bosses of the past, few are, though I think he was better than the main rival option I heard mentioned time and again by some folks in town. After last year I didn't think he'd last the season, I don't know if he'll be in the club this time next year.
A LoI club made a loss?!

From yesterday's Fingal Independent -
Anyone with a subscription able to reveal more?Quote:
SPORTING Fingal's plans to announce a major new sponsor have had to be put on hold indefinitely because of 'restructuring' by the company involved.
Someone is feeding the indo porkies.
No, he'd be gone, never said from where though :-)
But I called it almost right, my buddy working as a FG assistant in the Dail said that there'd be a vote of confidence within FF, which was right, but she thought he'd go. I just hoped he would.
I think this "leak" from SF bears closer scrutiny, especially if it's who's been named previously. Sad if it is.
I know this is the 27th time its been speculated but there was speculation last night that this time it may be the end for Fingal this week? The word is the new financial backing to replace Gannon hasn't materialised
There's alot of contradictory speculation out there because I've read this week on forums about the likes of Boco and Oman definitely signing for them. Kirby's situation would fit in with the uncertainty Fingal have had with their supposed new finance over the last 2 weeks
It is strange to say the least. The signings of Greg Bolger and re-signing of Gary O'Neill indicates, at a minimum, that Liam Buckley and these two players believe that funds will be in place. Considering that Buckley spoke to just about very decent available player in the league, along with the absense of other signings to date - indicate that this funding is far from certain. The fact that the Shaun Williams transfer has not materialised to give a cash injection is another worrying sign if these doubts prove true.
With Setanta Cup looming in a fortnight for Fingal, Buckley would surely be very anxious to complete his squad.
One effect of his "offers" to players is the wage inflation created by demand for players, or perhaps inertia by other clubs and players waiting to see what happens.
The worst of all possible worlds is that Fingal do a "Bohs" and offer big contracts based on hope rather then expectation of income
Also, back kind of on topic, what sort of squad have Fingal got at the moment (total numbers-wise)?
