Myself and Christy have a very good relationship with the lads that have left, we regularly have a pint with them and fully understand why they left but i also believe if we had not left ourselfs 5 yrs ago these players would still be with us. We also want to believe that the club and supporters are fully behind us i find it hard to understand why anyone in the club would want us to fail as ive never gotten that feeling from anyone... This year all junior players in the club are insured and want for nothing, that is something we insisted on before taking it on... The hardest part of our job so far has been getting rid of the negetivety(sorry cant spell) in the club and i think we're getting there... i dont want to say anymore on the subject but thanks for your support.
thanks for your reply dared,i understand where your coming from regarding the negativity.when a rot sets in its hard to get out of it.regarding people wanting ye to fail i just get the feeling over the years of what ive been hearing that corbally have afew bad eggs among them floating around the club who aint got a clue and talk alot of b*ll.i understand that you aint going to comment either way.best of luck anyway to yourself and christy.hope ye turn things in the right direction and start heading up the table.
If everyone in the club does what theyve promised to do, we will do very well in the coming seasons... If those promises arent kept then we wont be sticking around... But as i said earlier ive not come across anyone pulling against us yet... We know full well that the most important people in a club are the players and we intend on making sure the mistakes that were made before dont happen again.:ball:
i dont know but upon my oath the youngfella said he signed with pike because i was speaking to him last week aswell and i was asking him would he be interested in signing but in fairness the trip out was too much for him and he txt me last night and thanked me for asking him and said he signed with pike.at least he was man enough and descent enough to txt me.
all this bobby gregg talk is ridiculous. lets face it he isn't the best player in town or anywhere near it for that matter. solid enough definsively and thats about it. would do well with a mid-table team but after that he would struggle to get on. does anyone here believe that he would be starting with boro if alan carroll and aido fitz were playing in the middle. no where near good enough for regional or aisling let alone pike. i believe he is very much overrated.
