He's bounced around so much in his career so far - seven clubs in six seasons - that you kind of feel there'd be no harm staying at Alkmaar another year alright. Not as if they're a bad side.

Just to maybe add a bit more context here, one of the players tucked in just behind him on the scoring charts is Dylan Vente who is contracted to Hibs and is out on loan in the Eredivisie.
He'll probably be sold for two or three million this summer, as he was a disaster at Hibs, similar to Parrott's history in the English Championship.
So it's possible that clubs might want to see a bit more before they start offering 12 million plus for Troy's services.

Parrott wasn't in the AZ Alkmaar squad involved in the defeat away to Heracles on Sunday. Is he injured?
AZ are playing the Dutch Cup final this afternoon against Go Ahead Eagles, kick off at 5pm Ireland time.
Should they win, it'll be their first cup win since the 2012/13 season, and their fifth in total. GAE have never won the cup.
The winners go straight into the group stage of next season's Europa League
Doesn't seem to be any coverage here, but I'm sure streams will be available from the usual sources
Parrott back in the starting team for the game.
scores from the spot then curly finger on the hour. az lead 1-0 going into the last 15.
Last gasp equaliser from the other lads.
AZ lost on penalties. Parrott was off injured by that point it seems.
Would wonder whether the financial impact of AZ missing out on Europe (not yet confirmed, they could still qualify through the league) might impact on whether Parrott stays or goes this summer. He might be more keen to move, AZ might be more open to a sale, or need to sell players, and they might consider a lower fee as a result.
Missed out on tonight's game against NAC Breda with the injury he picked up at the cup final.
Came back as a late substitute against Heerenveen in the European play offs earlier for his first appearance in a month
AZ won 4-1, and will face Twente on Sunday, with the winner going into the second qualifying round of the conference league
Pic of him online partying with McGregor, Jordan and some other unsavoury characters
Evan Ferguson as well, apparently, Also Kevin Danso - Spurs' Austrian CB - wtf? While "unsavoury" hardly begins to describe some of the rest of the supporting cast:

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers - and tiny baby! - also got into a selfie with McGregor. You'd think he, at least, would have a bit more wit:

Bizarre.
The only thing which might explain it is that BR just happened to be holidaying nearby with his family, McGregor bumped into him, asked for a selfie and BR just thought it easier/quicker to pose for a few seconds than tell him to push off?
But if not something like that, then what else was BR thinking, as you say.
Agree and I think there is, similarly, more chance that Ferguson bumped into MacGregor and his cohort in Pacha out of coincidence and the overlapping social circles than anything more nefarious. MacGregor asks him for a photo, whats he going to say? I think the lad is allowed to go wherever he likes in the off season as long as he behaves himself and then gets focused for the season ahead when he has to. Much ado about nothing...
I know it takes all sorts and maybe it's not so bad, but I often think if more of our players eschewed the party scene (even in the off-season), they'd be playing at a higher level for better teams. James McClean is a great example of someone who works and works and works to get the most out of their abilities. While some lads are out partying over the summer, McClean's Instagram shows him in the boxing ring, in the gym or spending time with his family. It's why he's the captain of Wrexham and back in the Championship, raring to go again at the age of 36.
No player's as Keen as James McClean !
McClean was lucky he didn't kill himself in that self inflicted car crash a few months ago. Sounded like he went for a crazy overtaking move in bad weather and was lucky not to crash into others. I'm not 100% sure he'd be the first choice of role model I'd go for.
which photo is really worse at the end of the day? Stevies or Fergies :)

McGregor is a big United fan. https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detai...ted-allegiance
Off the mark for the season, with AZ's opener against Lives Tampere in the Conference League tonight
It's unlikely to last but they're 2-1 down!
The wonderfully named Roope Riski with a brace.
It doesn't get much better than AZ Vs Ilves Tampereen
They lost 4-3 in the end, a goal and assist for Troy. You'd imagine they'll win the home leg and go through.
Two from two for Troy; solid start to the season. 4-4 on aggregate now midway through the first half
And a second four minutes later. On a hat-trick before the half-hour
Game is on the Bet365 app. Two nice poacher goals. That's two of our 3 lads firing on all cylinders (granted they haven't been playing the toughest opposition)
His start on Thursday was his 200th club appearance
