Well whoever is looking for Jay O'Shea would want to fog off cos there is no hope of him leaving for 30k. Nick Leeson said at a recent fans forum that there was interest for him in Ireland, but they were being told where to go cos they were nowhere near the asking price
He signed 4 Players yesterday
It said in the Sligo Champion today that Shaun Holmes completed his move to us prior to the freindly against Longford.
Steve Williams
Coner Kenna
Gavin Whelan
Joxer Kelly
Alan McNally
Robbie Martin
Paul Shields
Mark Duggan
Jamie Duffy
Robbie Farrell
Ian Ryan
Paul Crowley
Mick Clarke
Darragh McNamara
Drogs squad thus far. Released today, few new ones in there.
Add in Dave O'Connor and Michael Foley too.
Kenna and McNally will be the best CB partnership in the league this season.
Has Kenna signed? Last news report was that he was decidnig between Drogheda and Fungus.
If Whelan plays anything like he did for most of last season with us then he won't add anything to Drogheda, but over all i reckon its a half decent squad he has asembled... I still think we will finish above them though, our squad is taken shape nicely and with a few more pre season games o come we should hit the ground running when the season kicks off.
I can't imagine Gormley would want to get stiffed by Kenny (the whole poaching Delaney 2 days before the start of last season) again hence why he is looking for decent money for LoI standards.
But in fairness to Kavanagh he has matured into a very good players since joining us and if last Saturday's preformance is anything to go by then he will be one of the Leagues top players this season.
DUNDALK manager Sean Connor has exclusively revealed to The Dundalk Democrat that Stephen O'Donnell is set to become the sixth former Bohemians star to arrive at Oriel Park this pre-season.
"We have reached a deal to bring him here so hopefully he will put pen to paper in the next 24 hours."

happy days
Just to clarify lads, George O'Callaghan is NOT joining us, Sean Connor said hes basically finished his dealings if and when Stephen O'Donnell joins us, he said hes verbally agreed to join just waiting to sit down with him to sign on the dotted line by the end of the week.

Will George O'Callaghan be moving to Cork City or any other club in the LOI
Stephen O'Donnell won't be joining Dundalk.
Did cork not say something about a 1k wage cap(iirc)
Since when do wage caps mean anything...;)
O'Donnell is having a medical with us tomorrow.
Just because Sean Connor claims money is the reason Stephen isn't signing doesn't mean it's true. We'll be tight with money next year, if he signs it won't be for stupid money.
We're rumoured to have agreed a 1k wage cap with pats and Bohs that essentially means none of those clubs could go in and offer silly money to unsettle a player. I don;t remember Dundalk signing up for it and it certainly didn't cover uncontracted players. Though I'd imagine that the money involved would be a nice bit less than 1k per week.
