eircom League 2007 Attendances

Defo not that there I was bored in the first half and counted 100 max in the main stand including press and approx 100 scattered around the fence which would give 200 if you also counted the players 22 , subs 8 , managers/assistants/trainers./physios 8 , the little nippers that played at half time 20 , the people in the tv gantry 3 , stewards 10 and the guy making the tea still would only give a max of 275.[/QUOTE]

No point arguing in this thread as Stu is a UCD fan so he's going to put down whatever makey up figure he wants. This thread has no real relevance anyway until all clubs release official attendances.

The nippers sat in the stand during the game so be careful not to count them twice, they may be included in your '100 max' figure, depending on how you do your counting.

Your arguments completely ignore the fact that I've said that the offficial attendances this year have been vindicated by observation and counts, therefore I'm happy with them. I've given a reason why I disregarded official figures last year, a reason which doesn't apply this year. The Sligo count is just nonsense, which is why I'm ignoring it, same as I'd ignore anyone who sai tehre was 1000 there.

In the Sligo case, I "ignored" the official figure because I'd been given a lower figure, also quoting a club official.

Rocketfingers, your rantings are an embarrassment to yourself at this stage. We have an official figure, official figures this year have been vindicated, your counts have been nonsense, 443 is the figure. End of story.

I was cynical about our official attendances at the start of the season, but they've been right so far. I don't see any reason to doubt that view now just because you can't count.

To be precise I had 89 and 88 I rounded up to give benefit of doubt , its not very hard to count up to 200 people maybe I shouldn't be a chartered accountant if I can't count , again as i stated before I can't see invisible or dead people hence there may be a slight variance.

History repeating itself with sligo fans again. Wonder where the missing 150 fans were that were at our game the other week? Probably counting backwards.

In fairness 2 class goals though.

However, I'm a chartered accountant too (assuming you are one), so your point is, as with most of the rest of your posts, invalid.

The attendances thread here forms the basis for the current Aertel league article, incidentally. Apparently Bohs are showing a significant drop in support in the past couple of years, down from 2340 to 2290. Other than that though, it's a standard enough article.
