Bad idea paying people money to play, just makes the other players jealous and gives the player being paid a big head. Also right back isn't exactly the most influential position on the pitch. Waste of money.Quote:

bunratty will probably have a full team tomorrow night??????????
believe it or not because the Clare League is not an amateur league they have no say in the matter. The constitution of the league would have to be changed to state it and all its clubs would have to be amateurQuote:

[QUOTE=CLIFFORD]say not clifford .. bunratty only had bare 11 on sunday... just goes to show how loyal some of their players are and also says a lot about their personalities... at least Dave hogan stayed with them.... like all good skippers staying with their sinking ship.... i hope that they stay up though...they have excellent facilities and also they like to play soccer and can ya imagine if they went down and olympic went up... would we ever hear the end of it??? I WONDER?? :eek:Quote:

By the way, I would be surprised if there are any players in the Cl getting paid.
very few leagues take that oscar traynor seriously, its a shame they don't but its the truth
I got a loan of 20 quid from the club chairman one time which he told me not to pay back? Does this count? Should I be worried that brian cowen will call to my door looking for a percentage :D
i cant believe you could do such a thing and not declare it???Are you TD Lowry from Tipperary if so u 're ok because the Tipp people are ok with them paying tax but their TDs dont have to.Either that or you can get tax exemption and exemption from the Law by joining your local Fiana Fail party. The Official form is in the same color as brown paper bags so you can acclimatise quickly!!!Quote:

Lifford3 Newtown2... report later
heard bunratty beat avenue 1-0
Goalscorers for Newtown v Lifford were Ryan Kelly & Ray Quigley
Cathal Jones got the goal for Bunratty...great result for the rats.
We had a bit of luck on our side to be honest but I think we deserved it. :D Battled hard and worked well and had some good performers.
Avenue will feel hard done by as they had a good few chances... I suppose they have to be taken though.
Still its only 3 points from 4 games though.
Any one got a brief report on the Lifford win. They seem to be doing well. Were Newtown ahead at any stage... late goals or anything to report.

Lifford win...
Newtown can feel disappointed at throwing away the lead twice in the game.
Lifford started better but newtown got the opener.. heath went for a trip outside the box ball was robbed and quigley passed into empty net.. 10 mins later lifford got equaliser after some good pressure keeper made good save from robbie carkhill but was only able to parry and martin mcdonough brought his tally to 4 for the season. newtown went back in front shortly afterwards. winger kelly somehow beat 3 lifford defenders while sitting on the ground and excellent finish to restore lead.HT 2-1
lifford made 2 subs early in 2nd half... but newtown were holding firm but a speculative shot with 10mins left found the net from damien quirke. The same player got the winner a couple of mins later after town failed to clear a corner ball came back into box quirke swung a leg and it found the top corner , keeper no chance.....
Lifford just about deserved victory.. they did :ball: nt play well but id say jim rox was fuming as his side lost the lead twice and also they ran out of steam in the last ten.

Theres no way anyone watching that game could say lifford deserved all three points...Not a hope!
There first goal was a mistake by our keeper and the Referee!(player was AT LEAST 10yrds offside)
There second was handed to them on a plate...defender tryed to play it back to the keeper...with his head AND leg at the same time!!
There third was good tho...no complaints!
I would of honestly been disappointed leaving that game with a point let alone none!!
Seen manjr down there too...what was the story there then? Why wasnt he playing? That cant be money well spent then ey?
Hahaha you gas kunt....lifford deserved it my b0llox....!!
No new signings to report Mr. Pitch.Quote:

boss you seem to be a sunshine supporter. whenever lifford are winning your all talk but like the end of last season when you knew they were finishing nowhere you seemed to be fairly quiet, and now you see them top of the table after only 4 games... your running your mouth about how your gonna win the league!!?? is it just me or did you say that last season too??
yes rats deserved win. 2 chances took one. avenue, well dont get me started. they think there better than they are. thought it was onl;y a matter of turning up. before game were saying how was no 5(pa hayes) going to run) what those **** flaps didn't know that on half a leg pa hayes would have more determination and heart than 4 r 5 avenue boys together (plus the fact he knows how to read a game). we didn't put 5 passes together, rats even though its far away from there best side played as a team and when newtown beat avenue on sunday there league will be over. if they think they will do what they did last year and win the last 10 games on that attitude and performance forget it.Quote:

here . here totally agree it is a bit early to be claiming league title for lifford...Quote:

If that was Liffords full team against Newtown, ye'll win nothing. Newtown were missing 4 starters, played terrible in the second half & still should have won. Lifford are too lightweight & will drop plenty of points.
