Phew. For a minute there I thought you were going to have to increase your attendance fivefold but now you're only going to have to treble it. Should be easy

Regardless, personally delighted to see Athlone come up. My first game outside of Dublin was in St Mels so have a bit of a soft spot for them. Never been to Lissywoolen either

Well that was back in April. As you can clearly see our attendances have greatly improved since. Our attendance the other night was only 300 off the Premier Division champions elects highest attendance all season. ;)

Put it this way, can Athlone's stand accommodate around 1000 home fans and possibly 4-500 away fans to include an x amount of seats been taken away for segregation?

MY bad, but anyways considering there was about 20 Waterford fans for our game and there was 1100? Dundalk fans in Inchicore.

I think over 1,200 away tickets were sold for that game, possibly more attended but not recorded as may have paid into home section, but it still doesnt change the figure, Pats highest crowd remains 3,313, you cant 'allow' for away support, its still counted as a home attendance.

There`s going to be some competition on this site next year for the most tiresome set of posters on premier division attendance. Early overblown strides this season by Limerick gave way to grudging reality. Dundalk continue to canter on as outright winners this year but I reckon Athlone will give them a run for their money next season

Athlone Town Stadium (often referred to as Lissywollen) is the home stadium of Athlone Town. It has a seating capacity of 2,500 and an overall capacity of 5,000. The stadium was built in 2007, replacing St Mel's Park as the home of the club.Only one stand has been built, if the stadium was to be fully completed it would have a capacity of 10,000.^{[citation needed]}
In November 2011, it was reported that Athlone Town had received a donation of €500,000 to wipe out debts incurred through the construction of the stadium.^[1]

That and the fact there was no clash with junior trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A good few junior lads there that I haven't seen at a few games due to clashes.

I'd say we'll be lucky to hit the thousand again for the last home game of the season.

Christ man, I could go onto Wiki and change it so that it says Finn Park is an 80,000 all seater with under soil heating and 500 bars..

But you'd need to reference it for it to be valid. Which hasn't been done up the wiki for Athlone Stadium. The figures don't seem that far out though really.

They're plenty out. The capacity of the stand is just over 2,000. Something random like 2,024 as BR has said.

Technically there were 6 in away attendance if you include CEO,Chairman and a few more but i think Conor in the picture may have been the only paying away fan.

Disapointing crowd but it was a Monday night and 3 home games in a week probably had a somthing to do with it.

1,248 at Belfield on Friday. Probably about 1,100 of them were Pats fans and that's being very generous to UCD.
