We're in the final...unreal...what a moment for the club...
Well done to Wexford for reaching the final. Fair play.
Oh Lord, that is bloody brilliant!
Youths are my sunshine, my only sunshine...
Oh my God........... :) :) :)
Jesus, thats a hammer blow for Cork and their finances. They'd have been guaranteed a great gate for the final, and possible prize money too. What was the attendance like in Cork? I presume pretty big, as most fans would realise they need every penny?
Well done the Youth...hope the final is in Ferrycarrig; I'd come down if it was.
Has to be the greatest shock in the LOI ever?
Thats disappointing. It'd be more than we'd get for a similar tie but a drop from 4,000 on Friday to 1,500 on Monday is shocking. Doesn't look good in front of examiner either
thats a shock result.. delighted for the youths.. very impressed with them when i was in ferrycarrig park earlier in the season... am I correct in stating that wexford youths are the first time a first division side have got to the league cup final since limerick fc beat derry city in 2001 -02 season on penos..
it will be great to see the youths on the telly and great to see them take off their shoes off in salute to their chant... :)
Well done Wexford! Superb.
I've got a head cold and I've been hitting the nuerofen cold and flu, it makes my head a bit funny, seriously am I imagining things?
I know it's only the league cup and all that but bloody hell what an achievement. Hopefully they can host the final at home or at worst at a nice handy Dublin venue. No excuses for not making this game.
will the venue not be decided on the flip of a coin or some such? between the brandywell and ferrycarrig?
Fantastic Wexford and well done. Makes you beating us Friday look less bad to the interested outsider!
Delighted for ya!
Well done to the Yoofs. Great achievement. I hope you's go on and win it now.
If its in Wexford i'll go down and support you's.
What colours will you be wearing, black or pink?????
I just want to know what to turn up in...;)
Fair enough. Would Ferrycarrig be really suitable? The game will be live on television so a number of camera positions would be required, plus with only one stand it wouldn't look to great, always the chance to add another temporary stand for the occasion I suppose.
Setanta will probably show it. Hopefully its at the Brandywell. ANyone have a definite date for it yet?
Fantastic result for Youths tonight. Well done.
Would yez move it to Waterford, perhaps (if you get home advantage)? Surely that'd be easier for the locals instead of trekking up to Dublin.
If wexford get a home draw, then play it in wexford. F**k the barstoolers. Would be madness to give up home advantage for a cup final, especially when its their first one.
Ferrycarrig is a fine venue & won't affect the home suppport, its not like the club need the money by switching it to a nuetral venue.
Well done the Youths- amazing result for an amatuer side. I hope ye get the final at home and that ye wreck them hoors!
Great result for Wexford against a strong Cork side at home, another nail in Matthews coffin.
Bit of a strong word warpath by myself which i take back, but most your fans were drunk and the nature of their attitude was not shined upon by fellow supporters who had kids in the line of fire.
At the end of the day its nothing against you personally but your fans weren't on there best behaviour on their last visit which was not too the liking of the stewards or the Gardai. The FAI officer in the south east is at every Wexford and Waterford game and the security, safety of supporters is paramount but if supporters are not adhering those standards...well you know what can happen. Wexford is been promoted as family club, local based. If parents see that supporters both home and away cause problems and get away with it would you bring your kid back, the answer is no which Mick Wallace and co. are trying too avoid.
This thread below, a St. Pats fan mentions the great welcome.

A section of the shels support at the last game in flancare were a shower of vermin, drunken ****ant skangers.
what a great night in Cork (just back) the atmosphere was electric and the longest last five minutes in the world.
draw for home advantage was already made it was whoever won tonight games so it currently set for Ferrycarrig Park not sure of date.
no doubt in my mind that with some forward planning more than capable of holding cup final.
Great result for the Wexford would be great to see them go on to beat the whingers.
