hopefully we'll see a formation and team selection similar to what we'll see in qualifying
I suppose we will have to wait and see what Trap will do in the qualifiers re Carsley.
The team has a naked look about it at the back without Carsley.
I'd prefer if Trap had new plans to set in motion along with the security that at least Carsley was there amongst the subs.
Ideal opportunity to pitch both Reids into the middle, no?
Yeah it is, and I think they may go with Wheland or O Brien as the defensive midfielder for a while too as it seems that the 4 5 1 is likely to be used away from home. A few options.

J.O'Brien impressed in a similar role in Bolton's UEFA cup run. He was excellent in Portugal.

I think Hunt looked very out of position at left back in the first game of the season last week... He didn't seem to know what position to take a lot of the time... He looked great going forward though and his crossing seems to be getting better and better.Quote:

He said that he doesnt expect that he will give Doyle the full 90 minutes so I would expect that means that he will start and at some stage give Keogh a run out
I thought Everton badly missed Carsley at the weekend. I don't think he should start against Georgia but he is still a very useful player for shoring up our defense if need be.Quote:

If however the issue is with the Ireland set up and issues he has with the FAI, then we do as supporters have a right to know what this is. What has probably happened is that his mental illness has caused him to believe that the FAI wronged him and now he fells he cannot play for them. Mental illness causes you to be paranoid and agressive (which it often does) and I belive as a result he thinks that people in the squad and the FAI.

I'd like to see Keogh up front for Doyle and I'm still not sold on McGeady at international level (I'd rather see Hunt on the left than him) but otherwise it looks good to me (as long as Reid really is hurt, otherwise he should be there)
Is Andy Reid injured?
A Reid was playing in the final practice match last evening but the journalist watching thought that it was still up for grabs who would partner S Reid.
It's still a bit of a shock.
I thought the Trap might have seen through Liam Miller and excluded him from all future squads. Gutted that he is getting road tested before our two big matches next month. Not sold on Kilbane's defending abilities but at least he is nowhere near a central midfield berth.
