Looks like 3500 crowd. Summer football weather.
Nice to say David Jeffrey speak so positively about our league. Think Felix had to grit his teeth while complimenting his result in Croatia. Some bad blood there back to his Coleraine days.
Good travelling support too for Pats on a sunday night. Should be a good game.
Looks more than 3,500 i was expecting 5 or 6 k for this game anyway.
anyone got a live link for the game? no setanta and no Eircom broadband.....
Crowd probably 4k. Not many teams get 3800 home supporters.
Stick fighting was on in Thurles so would have taken from the crowd a bit.
City well on top. Pats mainly hoofing forward for Harris (he is playing as forward) & Guy.
I might be biased but the pitch looks great & decent atmosphere. If all the Premier games looked like this would have no trouble attracting sponsirs.
That's mad altogether. :)Quote:
Still, the event controller had to come over all embarrassed and tell us that Setanta had asked him to ask us to be a bit quieter! :D
The game looked good on TV. Both teams tried to play nice, passing football (well, Pats in the 2nd half only) although the only REAL excitement was that series of chances in the final minutes.
The drums were the problem. They obviously had the mic in the wrong place
Didnt think it was a great game myself.
We're playing some nice stuff in midfield but missing a cutting edge. Badly missing Flynny.
We looked very tired in the last 20 mins and had absoltuely no one to bring off the bench
Title race now wide open. 6 points seperate the top 4
The game looked well on Setanta I must say. Looked like a great crowd there aswell which was great to see on TV espeically when the Cork-Clare hurling game was on the same day. Pity there were no goals :)
Definitely. From a neutral's point of view I think a goal for either side just before half time would've made it a fantastic second half. As it was I think the football was decent, just a lack of firepower with Quigley and O'Flynn replaced with Jamie Harris (wtf?) and Denis Behan
Perhaps posting the score wouldn't go amiss ;)
0-0. Fair result. Cork slightly on top in first half, Pats finished much stroner. Both teams with chances in the last 5 minutes. Harris played upfront as no one elsewas fit enough to do it. Fitz has been struglling for two weeks and missed last week
We tired badly in the second half. We have an effective squad of 13 players (team that started plus O'Flynn & Lordan). Suspensions the only reason our team changes. Matthews won't play the experienced defensive players or the attacking kids from the bench. A lot of traveling to Finland & Sligo in the next week could cost us badly.
Looks like O'Flynn is on the way back which will be a huge boost.
