It must be a roundabout then...

Are Killester still good? Thinking of backing them to beat Wexford Youths...is it likely?
They reached the final of the FAI Junior Cup this year
http://www.munster-express.ie/sports...ams-come-true/
Their in the FAI Cup 'cos of their results last year and the third round 'cos of their results this year. Grow a pair.:)
Actually I think Wexford Youths will have it over them, but they'll give them a game.

I can see a lot of replays this weekend.
My banker is Bohemians and I can see an upset with Rockmount beating Bray.
Not a great draw overall there. Only Rovers v Rovers looks like much of an entertainer.
We have actually been playing a lot better recently bar the one game that we really needed to win against Cobh. We were awful that night. Too many draws though. We were probably the better team against both Pat's and Bohs but drew both games and draws won't get us out of trouble.
We actually lost to Bohs. No good being the better team if we can't win. Despite our shocking history in the cup, I personally wouldn't be too bothered if Waterford knock us out, much more important things to focus on this season and its not as if we are going to win the bloody thing, all the 'big boys' avoided each other in last 32 draw
Just heard that the Kildare County - Fanad United match has been rescheduled for Tuesday June 24th, with any replay taking place on July 1st
oops there was me sending a harshly worded email to p.power for having the other 15 games listed and not this one :D !!!! ah well they might send me a free bet for it !
any reasons why?
might head to it now if its on a tuesday, didnt fancy wasting a saturday evenin trekking across the country!

The FAI Appeal Committee today considered an appeal by Kildare County against a decision of the Domestic Football Committee to instruct the club to play their Ford FAI Cup third round game against Fanad United on Saturday 7th. June.
On learning that they had been drawn at home several of the County players took it for granted that the game would be on Friday night as is usual for the club and booked to depart on their holidays on Saturday morning.
Fanad United looked for the game to take place on Saturday 7th. due to the fact that one or more of their squad were sitting their Leaving Cert examination on Friday and would not be available on time to travel.
does anyone know the actual kick-off time for the shams vs sligo rovers game??
i've seen it advertised fo 7:30, 7:45 and 8:00:confused:
Hmmm I was thinking of having a bet on your lot tonight. Killester don't give a tosh about this and it's a distraction for them more than anything else. They've a few lads away on holidays too. From what I've heard they are more or less putting out their second side.
Has the Senior Cup lost some of its appeal? Down here in the real capital there seems to be little build-up, even with 4 non-league teams all at home and the two Eircom League teams away.
Rockmount look best placed to cause an upset in this round, but they've had a long, hard season..... Marys were promoted in a playoff on Wed night, which went to extra time.... 'Hall host the champions which will be a really tough task, again at the end of a hard season.... Everton playing Carrick on Sunday morning would also seem to be well placed to advance.
The non-league sides (country wide) are all at the end of their seasons and it seems a difficult task to rise up to the challenges in the FAI Cup. Back in the days when the Senior Cup was in the middle of the (non-league) season, there seemed to be more media impetus, thus more interest, thus more crowds, thus more rewards (€...) for the non-league teams.
Dont think Carrick are too pushed about this cup. They have reached their Holy Grail , the FAI Junior Cup, this season and are still celebrating that success as only they can!
Surely Carrick being the best junior team in the country could be good enough against Everton.Killester beat Bangor in the last round and are as good as any Intermediate team and Carrick are as good if not better than Killester. Are Carrick taking this serious and have they any injury problems?
Exactly!!! As I said, the FAI Senior Cup seems to have lost some appeal. Is this the impact of Summer football? Junior and Intermediate Cup competitions run through the winter, and then the Junior and Intermediate sides need to row into the Summer schedule.
In general Eircom League seems to have benefitted, but the Cup is suffering - at least the participation of the non-league sides is suffering.
Athlone have a good record against us down there, its going to be a very close match.
I will go for 2-1 Athlone or 2-2 draw ;)
Holmes to score for Harps.
PS: Hope we get knocked out and concentrate on survival
