Well that slightly makes me happer :D
That's cricket at Junior B level ;) However, when someone goes on to 83* and he's dropped while still in single figures, it does hurt.
Just breezing through games over last few days, ans I spotted this:
http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/wcl/e...ch/352381.html
they bat like us  width too i'd imagine owlsfan :D
having bowled northamptonshire out for 206 Ireland were all out for 106 in clontarf today Hall top scored with 27, strydom 11 noone else made double figures fintan Mcallister faced 26 balls more than anyone else except hall. very disappointing
They did well in getting them 206 all out, but they were something like 156-8. I think the lads missed Porterfield, can not believe I am saying that.
they had them 40/3 and let it slip, there isn't enough back up to the bowling. the openers have made good breakthroughs in most of the games but the change bowlers haven't done enough
porterfield made 63 for Gloucestershire v Warwickshire today
the leinster development 11 lost to scotland u19's today by 26 runs
The Leinster Development XI went down by 26 runs in the opening match of their North East of England Tour against the Scotland Under 19 side.
In a 35 over game, two wickets from Mark Dwyer helped restrict Scotland to 132 for 4, with Scott Galloway making an unbeaten 40 and Calvin Burnett a well composed 34.
In reply, 69 from Andrew Balbirnie and 17 from Shane Getkate looked to have set the Irish on course for an easy win. However a dramatic collapse saw them falter to 106 all out in 23.3 overs, to give the Scots an unlikely 26 run win. The bowling heroes for the Scots were Richard Lamb (3-15), Andrew Brock (3-22) and Willie Rowan (2-18).
Scotland Under 19's 132-4 (35 overs, S Galloway 40*, C Burnett 34, M Dwyer 2-23) beat Leinster Development XI 106 all out (23.3 overs, A Balbirnie 69, S Getkate 17, R Lamb 3-15, A Brock 3-22, W Rowan 2-18) by 26 runs.
my run continues another duck:rolleyes:
We were all out for 55 against Civil Service then bowled them out for 30 :D However, I was involved in a run out, later on then ran myself out and later on again dropped a catch. Cricket: don't you just love it.
As for your run of ducks, just go out and have a swipe at the first ball next time and hope for the best.
i blocked the first one, first time i made contact with the ball all season swiped at the rest and missed them all. was that a junior c or junior b match. we have civil service in the minor cup this year.
i did at the one before it tho  once i start hitting the ball again you'll al pay
William Porterfield took a catch while sub fieldin for england in the match against new zealand today
Well the match is on in Bristol. Nice one though.
No. Usually the county team at whose ground a test or, in this case, a one day match is played, provide the sub fielders. As the match was played at Bristol, he was included. Gloustershire didn't have any match today (their match against Somerset was rained off yesterday).
Was taking a look at his averages. He's played 2 County Championship matches, averaging 26.5 in 4 innings. Top score of 68.
Intersting! Funny rule methinks! At least another one of our most talented cricket players didn't do the dirt on us.:D
Eoin Morgan has withdrawn from the ireland squad for the tri series with new zealand and scotland. also a good win over bangladesh A in the twenty20. Ireland made 161-6. then bowled bangladesh out for 79
The run is over 2 fours and a six helped me top score today as we were hammered by civil service in the cup figures of 12 overs 3 maidens 1-30. i had 2 easy catches dropped. by the ducks are over
one of our lads 'the did the same, looking for a 2 that wasn't there
Oh dear:
Lloyds TSB Tri-Series: New Zealand 402-2 beat Ireland 112 by 290 runs
Nothing like a hammering to gain some confidence.
Scotland won by 4 wickets yesterday, I know the team is a little depleted but still is a disappointing defeat.
squad for twenty20 world cup qualifiers: William Porterfield (capt), Niall O'Brien, Eoin Morgan, Kevin O'Brien, Andre Botha, Andrew White, Kyle McCallan, Alex Cusack, Gary Wilson, Trent Johnston, Thinus Fourie, Peter Connell, Phil Eaglestone, Gary Kidd.
Eoin morgan hit a century for middlesex against south africa today
2,3,4th august at stormont. not sure how the tournament is working so i can't tell you who we're playing
final may get moved to the Tuesday as they need a 3rd placed playoff now for the extra spot with Zimbabwe out.

I would be confident of Ireland qualifying

Good win against Holland. Should boost the confidence.
I heard that the coach didn't spare the rod after the New Zealand game
Eoin Morgan 137 n.o. vs Gloucestershire out of 300
Morgan is having a great season so far.
he didn't have a great start to the season but he really hit form in the twenty20 and he seems to be continuing that
Bob, we beat your lot in the Whelan Cup Final on Saturday. Our first cup since we formed the club 24 years ago. Is there a lot of sun in Rush that Sean McCann always has a red face :p ?
