Hmmmm...Penn state in 3rd over time. I fell asleep eventually, couldn't keep the eyes open so late. Great stuff in a weird kind of way, turnovers were the name of the game.Quote:

My own predictions for what its worth:
Tampa Bay, New England, NY Giants and Pittsburgh for the wild cards.
I'll go with USC tonight but i really hope its a close game. A blow-out would be a huge disapointment either way.
Buccs, Pats, Giants, Steelers for me for what it's worth.
FSU should have taken the upset last night. They missed the extra point and gave away a safety in regulation. After the opening drive they had PSU in fits with their speed and this was all without AJ Nicholson.
USC in California, try again Texas because Vince Young has no chance tonight.
Seems to be 5/6 of us with an interest in the playoffs. Anyone for a fantasy game? PM me your address and I'll send ya the invite. It'll be good craic.

41-38 in the end, Young TD 18 seconds from the end. Incredible.
Well I won on WVU and FSU so I suppose 2/3 is not bad.
Once again 4th and 2 and if LenDale White gets it then its all over. Reggie Bush - wtf are you trying to lateral that ball for? And as for Vince Youngs lateral
He's much quicker than college players and looks now like he'll be a top 2 pick. I still dont fancy him as an NFL QB though, those boys are far quicker than USC and his weak arm will get exposed.
I thought Penn beat FSU? You said FSU would win it....only being pedantic, but that makes 1/3....:cool:Quote:

Nice one, spend it well. I suppose the same bet on the Pats this weekend would be worth doing? Or is it?Quote:

I like the Giants -2.5 against the Panthers. I reckon Eli steps up and exposes Carolina whose offense is not as good as it appears. DeShaun Foster made his name on 2 games against the awful Falcons run D and Smith is their main receiver - I dont even think they have a TE.
The Redskins +2.5 could well barge into Tampa and take that one. They run the ball well enough to keep the Bucs off the field and Simms will be on the floor all day.
Sounds good!Quote:

With regards New York...they looked solid against the Raiders last weekend, I think they could go far.
I hope the Raiders get their act together for next season
Well I changed my mind and took NE last night. Waitign the Giants for a bumper payday now.
This is pathetic from the Giants.
Woeful innit? Eli being asked to make passes and he can't, the defense has fallen apart. There goes your bet I assume? Unlucky. What the deal for the next game? Steelers by a few or a lot?
I'm on Campbell in the golf so it might save my weekend.
To be honest I din't realise all the LB's were gone. I've seen Greisen a couple of times before and he is atrocious.
I like the Bengals in this one but you never know, it should be close though.
That was a very nice touchdown by the Steelers
Well wildcard weekend was pretty rubbish. Washington set a record for being the worst team ever to win a playoff game. Jacksonville and Giants should be given first round picks for being so crap. The last game would have been fantastic if Palmer had stayed fit.
Don't think anyone looked amazing, and all teams that had a week off should be favourites.
Next weeks games:
Saturday, January 14
Washington (11-6) at Seattle (13-3)
New England (11-6) at Denver (13-3)
Sunday, January 15
Pittsburgh (12-5) at Indianapolis (14-2)
Carolina (12-5) at Chicago (11-5)
I reckon Seattle and Indianapolis should be bankers. The other two could be very interesting. FFS, Patriots is starting at 8.30 in Denver. That's about 2.30am here I think!!!
As for predictions,
3 correct: ME! :D and Soper
2 correct: Real, Clifford, Aberdonian, Swinford
1 correct : Kerry Blue
It looks like Palmer will be lucky to even be fit when the season starts in September, he tore the ACL and MCL in his knee.
It ruined that game to be honest. The Giants and Eli looked clueless but that defeat goes down to those sorry LB's. Lewis and Greisen are disgraceful.
Well 3 out of 4 isn't bad :D if only the giants show up :pQuote:

Admittedly I'm more than a bit foolhardy going against the Colts but in the other three match ups I think he road team has an advantage in two of them.
That's the four I'm going with too.Quote:

That was a let down of a weekend all right, the Steelers game was decent enough, the injury to Palmer was a shame.

Home teams in the playoffs with the bye week traditionaly walk by. I dont have the stats off hand but they make a very compelling argument to go with all 4 teams playing at home.
However that doesn't account for Tom Brady and the Patriots. They're the only team that will win away from home. Watch Peyton pick that Steelers D apart although they might cover the spread, same for the Skins as the spread is pretty big there too.
 :oQuote:

Anyway I hope to do better this weekend.
Saturday, Jan. 14
Washington at Seattle 9:30 p.m. (Seattle)
New England at Denver 1:00 a.m. (New England)
Sunday, Jan. 15
Pittsburgh at Indianapolis 6:00 p.m. (Indianapolis)
Carolina at Chicago 9:30 p.m. (Carolina)
Where does it stop with Marcus Vick? Arrested
Well I'd say a chance of a pro career has stopped for him now. What a clown!:rolleyes:Quote:

Patriots
Colts
Bears
Redskins
Yeah I reakon they'll have a big backlash after being so rubbish last week especially if they can get Portis fully fit. Also, reckon the Seahawks are overrated. Probably gonna be totally wrong but who knows
I'll go for Patriots, Colts, Panthers and Seahawks.
Patriots, Steelers, Bears and Redskins
