Bohs 1 up on Rovers
Finding it hard to care about this match. Looks like most of the rovers players agree with me
Drogheda 2 up on Dundalk !
Athlone and Waterford ahead in their games, so the only goalless tie is Treaty-Kilbarrack - the Dubs only lost 1-0 to Harps last year, so always up for the cups, evidently!
Bohs better team and deserved the win, good luck to them
Rovers were atrocious there,Bohs weren’t anything special but deserved to win on the second half performance.
Good efforts from the non league sides away to Athlone,Waterford and Treaty, which has gone to ET,compared to Longfords showing in Galway they’re all solid efforts…..
A bunch of rejects and spoofers starting for Rovers against a collection of mediocre players just getting to know each other. Bohs deserved to win because their manager sent them out with a purpose.
Bradley will be gone at season's end,and it's for this kinda $hite he'll be gone.
Just hope his replacement won't cost too much.
Bohs were the best team by far and fully deserved the win. A few rovers players left a bit on bohs players when going for the ball and the ref let them go. He gave Devoy a yellow for a soft one. Bradley operating up to 10 yds outside the technical area and not pulled for it. Anyway fcku it Bohs 1-0 Rovers
Bohs played well to a point but I think that kind of line-up will struggle to create and score goals outside of set-pieces generally.
Rovers just awful. Initially was going to make the excuse for them of saying they look half the team they are when they lack mobility at wing back, but they were terrible regardless.
Looks like Longford sacked this game off judging by eleven that started…giving fellas a run out…not sure that’s the right approach to Cup competition when your bottom of first division
Haryy Kenny is willing and able and can be available for nowt! No signs of any barns dancing in Weavers Park. A cup run would have been nice but not sure id swap a run to the final for last weeks 3 points, could be crucial and the priority so similar as said above Im finding it hard to be particularly fussed. Would be different if in 4 or 5th and could be the differece between European football next season or not.
We were ok and got better after the goal. Rovers were brutal and at no stage was I worried they would score. Played like it was a warm weather training game.
If the players have stopped listening to him, then it's an exercise in futility.
If he puts out a weakened team against our biggest rivals in the only competition they can realistically win, then that's on him.
No-one at Rovers denies what he's achieved, but time and tide wait for no man
The difference Devoy and Tierney make in midfield is something else. We still badly need a proper striker. Piszczek was absolutely poison and was rightly hooked at halftime. We badly needed that. We have a huge game against Dundalk next week now, and hopefully this will give us some momentum.*
If it is likely that rival clubs and fans would be quite fine with Higgins and Bradley staying the way their sides are playing (though Derry are on a run performances have been off) and have done for an age then the question is worth asking why! Bradley was shown plenty of loyalty in the 1st 3 years as a young manager, he was shown loyalty when he publically had a pop at his club and he hasnt really repaid that recent backing albeit you could argue 1 tie in Europe may have well covered the financial committment. Yeha its ridiculous to keep sacking managers as has been a trend at some clubs and definitely some crazy decisions in the EPL but there is a balance and sometimes sentiment has to e taken out of managerial decisions and I think most Rovers fans would want a changing of the guard.
Treaty advance 4-1 on penalties.
Full credit to Kerry tonight. Organised and well worth the win. One of Ramblers’ worst home performances for a long long time. Says it all that the sponsors’ man of the match went to a Kerry man. And Whitmarsh’s red card is just crazy carry on.
Would Kerry fans want a draw v Treaty, derby, could go through, or a Bohs, Derry/St Pats kind of draw? Drogheda at Kerry would be an interesting one and whild Drogs would likely win it could be a banana skin fixture too.
Which Kerryman got man of match?
Very comfortable for Galway Utd tonight. U17 player, Kyle Fitzgerald came on in the second half, he looks the real deal.
When is the draw on for the next round?
I'd prefer Bohs. We played Drogheda last season in Tralee
Good cup win for Kerry. Drawing Treaty or a big name coming to MH Park will be preferred.
Treaty got through but that display against what is basically a junior team was brutal.A difficult watch and while young keeper Dike did well on the pens the ...celebrations were embarassing.
On hols so hard watching that but Rovers looked v poor and lucky to only lose by 1? Second yr in a Row I’ve been on hols for an early cup defeat.
3 yrs since I’ve been at a cup,match. Ffs!

Seeing some of the bitterness towards the Bohs result really brings joy to my cold withered heart.
On the game itself. Bohs played excellent football throughout. Dawson Devoy just brings a sense of calmness to midfield that we have missed since he left. Tierney & McDonnell worked their socks off. Grieve looks like he's going to be a tidy player once he gets up to speed & Leigh Kavanagh in beside Rob Cornwall should be a fantastic partnership next year. Bohs desperately need a striker to finish off moves. They are getting into the positions but just lack that clinical edge. Rovers had a couple of chances for sure but I can't say I recall them having a dominant period of the game that you would expect. They looked tired and a bit disinterested which is a recipe for disaster when your opponents are on their game. Into the next round now and let's hope these performances continue, for both teams :D
Cup draw is Tuesday apparently
Fair play.on rovers tonight, Bradley got his team selection very wrong, or did he underestimate us that much?
Lopes noonan were ok but the rest??and someone please explain how Casey gets a game for them? He is absolute bog standard.
Clarke also when brought on begging for a ball out wide and not getting it, looked frustrated.
I honestly think Bradley now has a bloated squad that leaves players frustrated at lack of match minutes.
I’d be amazed if he’d underestimate an away cup fixture after the last 3 yrs. not our strongest team but good enough to win against most teams. If they play well. We didn’t, perhaps cos of lack of game time, who knows.
Bohs did play well and comfortably went through
Poorest outing of the season from Treaty tonight. Had plenty of chances but failed to take them and offered Kilbarrack two or three great chances to score.
Did well in the penalties. Into the hat for the next round and that's all that matters.
