Town knock Sligo out for the second year in a row. Great 1-0 win in Sligo.
Only another few months of Lyttle thankfully
the 2nd round draw is on Monday evening i believe.
Anyone know at what time or maybe live on SR or online?
Presumably on Soccer Republic?
Though it could be Fran Gavin taking a household bucket into RTÉ radio again; you never know
Cork on the hunt to better Derry's score from yesterday; 2-0 up after 8 minutes against Home Farm
Cork 4-1 up now at Home Farm. Would like to see Cork give them a right battering!
5-1 at half time. Home Farm scored from half way apparently. Would love if we kicked on and got another couple in the second half
Cork another team who may feel they have a point to prove and mightn't let up.
That said, not the best way to prepare for the return game against Rosenborg. The FAI really have turned the Cup into a bit of a farce with games like this
Limerick sent as full a team as they could up to Donegal this morning. Cockhill will never have a better chance against a PD side.
Jayz. And ye were still 5-1 up at half-time! Sounds like it could have been a proper rout otherwise
Don't get me wrong, it was still a very strong team. We're lucky to have good depth at the moment. Benno, Aaron Barry, Dunleavy, Morrisey, McNamee and Sadlier all started. Add in the likes of McCarthy, Coughlan, O Hanlon etc and it was a good team.
Lost a bit of shape in the second half when game was over and Morrisey, and McNamee came off. Good to see the youngsters get a run out though.
Lovely set up at home harm and very very welcoming.
Cockhill Celtic 0-0 Limerick at halftime...ominous.
Looks like Limerick will be in the draw for the next round after all.
Full time 2-0 Limerick
So 8 Premier teams, 5 First Division teams and 3 non-league teams left.
I imagine most would be happy with a non-league draw in the next round (apart from those who have to get the next paycheque together maybe). Maynooth University Town v UCD sounds fun.
Dundalk v Cork would open things up for everyone else too
Eh Sligo, Bray and Shamrock Rovers gone. Only 7 top flight teams left.
Jinks
Jays, I made an arse of that!
I was going off an 8-team first division, and just had the non-league as a balancing number. And still got the Premier number wrong... :o
If Dundalk draw CIE will they order in Rancheros?
what time is the draw is at and is it live on fai tv?
Yes please. Could really do without Dundalk v Cork part 4 in the final this year. Enough is enough. Them drawing each other is about the only way it looks like it won't happen. I can't recall two teams being so far ahead of the rest of the pack for such a prolonged period in my 20 odd years as a regular Pats supporter. Would love to get to another Final, but I don't think we're clinical enough up front to get by anybody decent.
Just watching the highlights now. What was Grace thinking for Rovers against Drogheda? Soft red maybe, but you don't reach out and tug the last man in the box as he goes past you. Just idiotic.
Home Farm were shambolically, appallingly bad. Scoring from their own half is appropriate in a way cos I can't see how they'd have gotten into the Cork half playing like that.
And Ollie Cahill playing for them?!
Stephen Henderson looks like some punter they grabbed in from the stands to interview instead of the real manager.
Nice analysis on the Cork, Dundalk and Harps wins. I forgot how much I liked this programme.
It's almost as if they only want to talk about Shamrock Rovers, eh?

Happy out with that. Non-league side and presumably a new ground.
Where do CIE play?
Limerick at home to Cabinteely. Not exactly a glamour tie to make us a load of money, but a decent shout of getting to the last eight.
CIE Ranch v UCD
Galway United v Bohemians
Derry City v St Pat's Ath
Dundalk v Finn Harps
Cork City v Maynooth University Town
Drogheda United v Waterford
Limerick v Cabinteely
Longford Town v Shelbourne
Ffs...
Markievicz Park in Ballyfermot apparently: http://www.soccer-ireland.com/dublin.../cie-ranch.htm
Tut tut!
CIÉ is all three - Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann and Iarnród Éireann.
So in the last round, they could say they owned Dublin Bus. And they'd be literally correct
