Despite the broken English, I think I know what you're saying. :)
I agree, I think. It's best to try out a new player with the core of regular players, those he'd be most likely to play with when it counts..
Ideally, yes. The problems are that Arter isn't the only one auditioning, and we've injuries and fellas in need of game time.
Does anyone think Keane will come on with 10 mins or maybe even 20 mins to go tonight?
I'd not be taking many chances tonight
----------- Given ---------
Christie Duffy Clark Ward
---------- Whelan ---------
----- Arter - Hendrick ----
--------- McClean ---------
---- Murphy - Keane -----
Get McClean out of that 10 role or top of the diamond, he is not that type of player regardless of a half decent showing the last day in there.
I think Clark has more or less been ruled out also and it's been confirmed that O'Shea will start.
I'd be of the opinion of playing most of our best team tonight and not take any chances against Belarus.
----------- Randolph ---------
Coleman Keogh O'Shea Ward
-------Whelan----- Arter--------
Walters --------------------Brady
--------------Hoolahan
----------------------- Long
I'd start Rogers.
Randolph,
Coleman, O'Shea, Duffy, Brady,
Arter, Whelan, Quinn,
Walters, McGoldrick, Long

Ryanair overselling flights the bastids.
Cheers joe.ill download it.the battery dying now too and the portable charger lent to someone.
Stutts better be giving proper insight tonight.
I smell goals.
Another great chance for Duffy, he must be sniffing a starting place now as opposed to being happy to make the plane.
stuck at work today so if anyone could throw up a firewall friendly link at some stage, that would be muchly appreciated.
Just reading this piece and was thinking; is there anything to be taken from O'Neill's comments on Shay?: http://www.irishexaminer.com/breakin...ce-737236.html
Is the highlighted bit a give-away? If O'Neill is already thinking these Euros will be Shay's "final time", he must have it in his head that he'll be in the final squad?Quote:

That pass by McGoldrick what people are referring to when they say how composed he is on ball? :P

Coleman, Arter and McGoldrick has started well. Brady is dodgy so far. (nailed on first goalscorer now)
Haven't been impressed with McGoldrick or Quinn. Haven't noticed Arter. Duffy playing well. You get the impression that every opposition manager tells his players to target Brady's side.
If you are comparing Doyle's first twenty minutes v Switzerland with McGoldrick's first twenty minutes I know what I'd prefer.
Good play by Arter there.
There is no need to be making tackles like that in a friendly.
Stephen Quinn is like Paul Scholes with these reckless lunges.
McGoldrick growing into the game.
1-0 Long
Amond would have a couple by now.
Seems we have mastered the possession game just as it is going out of fashion. ;)
Whelan playing well. Oddly enough.
We have seen riskier aspects of Arter and Quinn's game tonight.
Walters slowness in reacting to that give and go by Long perhaps sums up his half.
McGoldrick having a decent enough game now after a dodgy start.
Long creating havoc for defenders as always.
Arter has had a couple good give and goes. Whelan Mr. Mop soaking things up. Quinn is just trying to do too much and it's not coming off.
Duffy & O'Shea rock solid at the back.
Edit: awful cross by Walters.
