And RTE.

During their live game yesterday evening BT Sport put up a graphic a few times about showing Man City, Celtic and Dundalk in the coming week. The presenter commented on what a story it'll be should Dundalk go through. Great to see international interest in their progress.
RTE announce they will not be covering the return leg of Legia Warszawa v Dundalk in Poland next Tuesday 23rd August.
Wait for it!
Instead they will have full coverage of the Man. City v Steaua Bucuresti with City 5-0 up from the first leg.
Thanks for the support RTE!
That's made me chuckle.
Are there any games on TV tomorrow. No game for us so wouldn't mind catching one on the box.
In a non LoI county, my interest in the league came from Sports Stadium on a Saturday afternoon. They used to have highlights in the first half hour.
11pm seems a crazy time for the weekly round up. In terms of targeting a younger audience who might go to games in the future, I'd be interested to know do they watch Soccer Republic more during the summer?
Limerick v UCD will be live on Youtube by FAI TV apparently. http://www.sseairtricityleague.ie/ne...live-on-fai-tv
They did the Presidents Cup game earlier in the season (with no commentary). Worked well I though
Read something the other day about the relaunched Vanarama conference. I consider our league to be slightly ahead football wise but very similar when you consider infrastructure wages crowds etc with a few teams full time etc etc . Their clubs have a very good weekly highlights show which airs on BT sports and also last year the home club in a live fixture got 6000 sterling with the away team getting 1000.
Now with Eir Sport tied into the BT platform that is where we should be setting our sights re a TV deal
Shamrock Rovers v Cork City FAI Cup 1/4 Final is live on RTÉ.

Not good news for the gate money
[QUOTE=patrickccfc;1887307]Don't disagree with you there but with t he exception of dundalk every other team in the league can't afford to lose 10 or 15 thousand euros off the gate for what should be money spinner games.....the real solution is rte should be paying the club's a direct fee
That UCD v Limerick stream is absolutely dreadful. Trackchamp is like watching Sky Sports compared to this.
Do the guys at the FAI ever heard of Test run to see any potential issues, cause that stream looks like they just set it up 5 mins before going live.
It really is poor, and I was really looking forward to this as I live away. You are right, there can't have been any trial or run through at all, its desperate in this day and age for a national association to present something as weak as this is.
Shambolic quality.
I'm glad someone else brought it up. Came on here to comment on the ****ty quality of that stream. My God...
Eir Sport showing all Dundalks Europa Group stage games free-to-air. Bravo.

I assume this a ploy to compete with the Manchester United games as they are playing at the same times as Dundalk.
Who gives a fcuk if it is - it's still great to see ;)
FAI TV actually put up the whole stream, terrible quality and all, as a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaGDWly0ZAY

God, even the sound quality is appalling.
Whatever about there being issues with the internet speed on the day, there's no excuse for actually leaving this up online.
Ha! The commentary for the first goal says it's "almost in slow motion there"! Given the stream quality, you're not wrong there...
