No Champs league or EPL games on on the Tuesday night we play Shels which isn't too bad but a lot of other reason which will take away from the numbers.

1099 attend announced here in tolka
1099 announced at Tolka tonight.
2760 at the Cross. Poor enough for the first home game but they got entertained!
At a guess, around only 600 in Finn Park tonight sadly. Great game of ball though.

About 4,000 at Tallaght.
Looked a lot more than that; I'd have said 400-500.
But if the club are announcing it...
Fairly small Derry crowd; 20 or 30 maybe?

id hazard a guess at about 900 in tolka this evening. around 300 dfc fans. also told that last weeks oriel attendance of 2598 was paying customers on the night and did not include season tickets. season ticket sales just over 500 and just over 600 away tickets were bought for the night
I'm surprised Cork weren't over 3,500-4,000 for their first home game.
Official Harps attendance 610

Have to say I did think there was a little more than the figure announced but if it didn't include ST holders what the point announcing it by DFC? Hopefully they can get the correct figure for Sligo, even it means adding on 80% of ST sales.
So based on this the revised figure v Rovers was prob 2,900 but 2,598 will have to the figure recorded.
Agreed Nigel. Have to go with what was announced on the night.
2,684 Sligo Showgrounds
Only 320 at the CCS (via extratime)
After the first two weeks of matches, and everyone now played a home game, we can weigh a few things up.
1) 4 teams had a better first home attendance than the reigning Champions, while the team almost relegated were only a mere 100 behind.
Shamrock Rovers - 4,000
Limerick - 3,758
Derry - 2,850
Cork - 2,760
Sligo - 2,684
Dundalk - 2,598
2) Top 6 attendances all looking fairly healthy, (albeit something we usually say at this time of year) good for the league, a couple of good results might see most of them back. That's not to say Fran Gavin won't be too happy Limerick didn't reach his estimate of 10,000 in Thomond.
3) The return of Cobh saw the highest First Division attendance with an impressive 824. Waterford and Harps the only other teams posting reasonable attendances with both 600+.
Disappointingly, a couple of teams saw very poor attendances. Longford and Athlone can feel aggrieved, while Wexford must be scratching their heads at to why only 149 people came in the gates.
4) In 2012 with 2 rounds of games played, and each team playing one home game, there was a total overall attendance of 28,717.
In 2013, at the same point, that figure has increased, by a grand total of 63. 28,780 people have attended a League of Ireland match this season. 25,504 of that in the Premier, 3,287 in the First division.
