Excellent stuff delighted with that.

Brilliant. I'm cautiously upping my prediction from 8th to 7th.
Dylan Mernagh that has been training with us has re-signed with Waterford.
Lads regarding Shanahan, he was ok last year for us. Played most of the season out of position on the left wing. Chipped in with a good few goals from there, think he ended up with 6 or 7 goals in the end. Kind of was non existant in many games, his passing is terrible, he runs like a headless chicken and his finishing isn't brilliant but as hes only 19 he still has time to mature. Wouldnt have minded if he stayed with us as backup but Kenny obv doesnt rate him.
The news of the resignings of O Leary and Purcell are good, for the life of me i cant understand why there isnt more of last years squad signed already.Would have thought Tracey, Brossie and either Cusack or Ryan or even both of them would have signed. You would then have a squad of 15. Its so late now that im not sure whats left in ireland are worth signing. Have been told all of last years squad are training (except behan and guthrie) so there looking for a contract.
Can understand why Gartland wouldn't keep traveling. I'm sure its costing him a few quid and time to go up and down at the moment and once he isn't injured he doesn't have anything to prove to us. We either want him or we don't.
Might try get up to the next training for a look.
Tomorrow evening I believe...not sure of the time. Any news on Seamus Long? I heard he wasn't there the weekend at all. Was wondering if he had signed back with Waterford.
I'd like to see them organise a friendly to give some of the players a run out. But then again, would they play and risk injury without contracts?
Some black lad im told his name was Axel and he was french.
2 agents too one Scottish fella and another Fitzroy Simpson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitzroy_Simpson.
At a meeting on Monday night management said they were bringing in a few full time players from outside Ireland. Prob reserves from Uk as they are being put up in accomadation in LIT campus which will be the clubs base for the coming season.
Mick Daly that was training with us has been training with us is training with Bohs now.
Gartland signs for Shelbourne.
He seems to be involved with this crowd http://www.goald.co.uk
He must be the person involved in lads coming over from the UK.
Agents hanging around at training is not a good start by the new manager. Will there be 5 or 6 players from Britain in the team this year? could work of course, but if the manager is depending on agents to recommend players it is not always a good sign.
I wouldn't think he is relying on the agents to suggest players but maybe the players he is looking at the agents want to see if it is worth the while coming over to ourselves which is understandable. They would probably want to make sure the players are looked after, trained right, looked after properly medically etc….
I googled "Axel Hamilton Academical" because I presumed he has worked with him before. It threw out his name.

Not being funny lads but agents have suggested some of the best players this league has seen in the last 15 years (Mbabazi, Ndo). Not harm in giving lads a trial. if they're not good enough, you've lost nothing. Every club in Ireland has had foreign lads on trial. Most of them aren't signed
Papers saying were close to signing Stephen folan. Who??
21 year old centre back who Newcastle released last summer. I think he came from one of the Galway clubs originally.
Think he was playing with Newcastle, has had a few injury problems though. Heard he was training with Shamrock Rovers and Sligo too.
What's the story with bringing in players from the UK? Does all business have to be done by the close of the transfer window over there?
Yeah he was playing over at Newcastle think he's 20/21 and played right and center back for Newcastle I believe butt played as a center midfielder for Salthill at underage level he was a very handy player for them(Salthil) but that was when he was 16 so injuries could have taken a toll and from what I know he was very unlucky with injuries
I am pretty sure that Stephen Folan played for Galway utd a few seasons back before going across the water
LOI blog saying Marc Griffin could be on his way to limerick according to their "sources" unlikely but would be a good signing.
Who did they copy/paste that story from?
