Noooooo... If the powers to be are looking, LEAVE IT IN TALLAGHT!!!
our u19s were due to play in Tallaght last week but the game was moved as the pitch needs some rest
Ye theres rumors saturdays friendly against Wexford in tallaght will be cancelled but I dont think so.
Rovers vs Wexford cancelled.
Rovers v Wexford is on, so is our game on Tuesday, both fixtures up on Rovers website
Sorry Tallanted! You're right, ET had it wrong! :)

http://www.shamrockrovers.ie
According to SR its still on!
Im told that SRFC are still considering moving the game and it very well could happen due to the amount of games been played on the tallaght pitch.
It is in Tallaght, it hasnt been changed
Can anyone confirm that the game is taking place, where and when? Ta! :p

confirmation here podge!:p
1-1 good result and a decent performance, fantastic goal by Town but who was the no.19 that set up the goal with his mazy run i thought he was absoutely fantastic.
Great to see kirbs back what a player he is the ball is glued to his feet and he has great vision (couldnt understand people saying hes no where as good as he was and that hes lost it a bit hes still top class and will rip out the division)
Karl Bermingham shone in the the first half his hold up play is fantastic throw in aussies little flicks and you have a great partnership (gary shaw still has to come back so we look well set up top)
A lot of attention on Duffy not sure what to make of him tbh he looks ok on the ball but hes really lacking pace. Salmo looks even better than last year but gillespie looks even worse! I hate to be so critical after a pre-season game but he leaves awful short passes in front of the back 4 and it almost cost us a few times, for someone thats played in england his touch isnt great especially compared to kirbs.
New keeper looks steady made 1 really good save despite his error for the drogs goal.
Our passing is fantastic (especially 1st half) and since thats a decent premier side id bd very confident we can play like that against 99% of teams in the division.
So who was the no.19 for us?
town squad tonight: hyland, o reilly, g cronin, dowling, deans, kirby, gillespie, salmon, bermingham, a skelly, duffy. subs;s skelly, purdy, o brien , haverty, crawley, radu contor( romanian trialist that was here for two weeks and headin back next week. he supld assist for aussie screamer. he plays for romanian 2nd div side.) he was the best player on the pitch when he came on
kirbs had a stormer. gillespie had a screamer.
in other town news it was confd tonight that Jamie Duffy has signed for us again ( unattached). Niall O Reilly has resigned and Dean Cosgrave whos livin in Drumlish and part of the town under 19 side has being promoted to the senior squad this season!
Ah can we not keep the romanian fella what a player!
17 was that Romanian lad. He played in midfield and was super. Reminds me of Dembele, very hard to get the ball off. Who was 20?
Daniel Purdy
It seems O'Reilly got injured in the game last night and is having an x ray on his leg today. It'd be a bit of a blow for him if it's serious given he's only just coming back from injury.
O'Reilly got the all clear, just badly bruised
Romanian lad has signed.
He seems to have made an impression on everybody anyway, hopefully he'll be a good addition if it's confirmed.
YEEEEEES! DELIGHTED. The comparison to Dembele is a very good 1, watch out Rovers its only a friendly but were going to get you!
Niall O'Reilly said on Twitter hel be out for about 2 weeks.
I've been given different info! Time will tell!
Do Romanians require work permits? I have a feeling they do even though Romania joined the EU. It's not that difficult to get one but it can take a while to come through. We'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks.
Yeah Romanians and Bulgarians have to follow different rules for obtaining work permits. From research I did when we were interested in signing players from there it really looked like it wasn't worth the hassle.
Tallanted, or anyone else really, what's the story with parking for Rovers games? Are the barriers up in the square of an evening, or is there a specific section for matchday parking?
Macy, there's matchday parking in The Square (according to a sign outside on the road) but because this is a friendly they might allow parking in the ground itself as the crowd wouldn't be as big as a League match and there is a good few parking spaces there.
Cheers. Yeah I work in Tallaght and know it pretty well around there, just wasn't sure how it worked - the website appears to direct you into the square by argos, but you'd be quicker over by the entrance by the petrol station I'd have thought. I'll try the ground first though.
The stadium car park has been open to the public for pre season games
Lost 4-0. Didn't see the first goal so I'll let Martinho comment on that.
3 mistakes for the other three. ****e passback number one for Colm James, ****e passback number two for Downling I think(?) and a mistake by Hunt makes three.
Skelly missed a sitter, but still, not a bad performance. Was happy with Gillespie. Not as happy with Skelly, his movement was poor. The gulf in class is serious.
Their first was well worked by Rovers - nothing we could really do iirc. The other 3 were very poor, but mistakes rather than being outclassed, so at pre season it's as much concentration as anything (something that can be fixed).
I'm was happy enough with the performance - Rovers I think will win the premier handy enough, and in general I thought we were did ok given our level. Looks like there's great potential with Kirby and Gillespie running things - first half you could see them talking to other players explaining what they should be doing. If Gillespie can calm his temper a bit when things go wrong (e.g their 2nd goal), they could really bring the team on, never mind their own potential skill level they bring to the team.
I support the lads comments... the first goal I dont think there was much hunty can do about it... the rest of the goals werent great from our side. kirbs was unlucky with his header in the first half and how aussie didnt score I never know.. I wouldnt be too worried about the hammering theres good potential in this squad!
any word on when the leinster senior cup game will be?
I see Gary Shaw is fit to play tomorrow. Hopefully he can get up to match fitness quickly.
Thata great news about Shaw I was very impresses with Bermo and we all know what Aussie can do so will be great to see Shaw play. And while its only pre-season I think a good result and or performance tommorow could really boost confidence in the camp after Waterfords result tonight!
Lost 3 nil.
