Apparently Norwich are chasing Chris McCann. Would be a great move for him and would be nice to see if he's up to Prem standard
Gary Doherty has dropped down two divisions to join Wycombe Wanderers after being released by Charlton.

Kilbane signs for Coventry : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18725589 one year deal, with a bit of coaching. I think Lee Carsley is at Coventry also.
Some forums also saying Norwich are after Hendrick at Derby, was in the Star apparently. I don't know how current this is or if Norwich have changed manager since it was reported.
Keith Keane back in league football at Deepdale : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18356960 - Preston say he is a signing they envisage being good enough when they return to the Championship also. Still only 25, came through with Foley at Luton or just after.
Those two and Lewis Emanuel, another piece of Stan era trivia. Now in Sunday League : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Emanuel
Bray Wanderers defender Pierce Sweeney signs for Reading: http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/News...833400,00.html
Joe rafterty signed for rochdale from Liverpool.
i fear for the wolves lads well doyle really.didnt cover himself in glory over in poland in terms of his football i mean.
I think him playing in the championship and long at west brom-who i hope aren't slogging it out fighting relegation- should sound the death knell to the keane/doyle partnership. It may even force trap into a strategic rethink - not tactical. i like doyle but i dont think he amd long could play together but more importantly i think he is part of the reason trap stuck with a 4-4-2. long was never really partnered with keane often and never in a strict 4-4-2 either.
Bray's Pierce Sweeney signs for Reading.

Anyone know anything about him? I don't.
Schoolboy football to LOI to Premier League. Hang on, that isn't supposed to happen is it? :)
Lovely. Another journalist who is most misinformed about the league.
Quote:
The Dubliner follows in the footsteps of compatriots Shane Long and Kevin Doyle, who arrived Reading from St Patrick's and Cork respectively.
Maybe Long was being treated for depression having lived in Cork for a bit?
Ben Burgess gone to Tranmere Rovers.

Its sad after a European Championships that all we can hope to hear about is fellas going to league 2 and below ;(
You can't seriously think a player released by Bolton's prospects have been in any way impacted by Ireland's performance at the Euros.
Luke Chambers - Forest to Ipswich
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18736692
A year ago he looked like he might be a handy recruit, had been player of the year at Forest and had Prem interest, ended up being released and moving to Ipwsich.
A year is a long time in Football.
I suppose you could argue not, but I think you would be hard pressed to describe his career as having kicked on due to it either. I would say its a marginal step back in terms of immediate promotion prospects of the respective sides, yes. Nottingham is also a nice midlands city, close to lots of other cool places, Ipswich is a provincial back water in the far end of nowhere, not someplace you end up living ideally if your career is thriving and providing you better options. Anyway, good luck to him.
Thats a very interesting point you make Crafty, I have this strange feeling about so many places like that in England, how depressing it must be to live there, with little hope or much to look forward to, and if you were to have kids there, what hope for them?! I'm not really sure what i base this on, experience from being in these places? Not meeting many people from these areas(in London, hence a believe that you can't get out/no one dares venture out/no one is edumucated to get out)? Hearing strange, obscure news bits from these places? But when I consider Ireland or similar places in America, I still don't see them the same way. My god I definitely need to get out of this country before its too late, the alternative likes Surrey don't seem very appealing either!!!
Paddy Kenny to Leeds

Nine year old Zak Gilsenan from Castleknock has signed for Barcelona!
Can we cap him now? By the sound of things he might have triple nationality.
