Seems most are very happy with Cunningham apart from in the early stages, and he nearly scored from a free kick. Generally positive though.
Sven looking to extend Cunningham's loan at Leicester: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...580813,00.html

We hope that we can keep him (Naughton) for the rest of the season. We hope with Cunningham as well - the left-back. I mean those two loan deals which we have done are very, very good for the club.
Got a bit of a chasing today according to a few on here, granted, there are a few right mongs on this site, but a few informed puters also.

I think he's going to have poor games, especially when the team plays poorly. Naughton on the other side is a couple of years ahead of him development-wise so he's better able to cope with poor team displays.
cuningham also had a brother who was very good not sure if it was his twin or not though/ but he was meant to go to newcastle on trial and a few other clubs where sniffing around but he was invloved in a freak accident where a firework went off in his face an damaged one of his eyes , think after a few ops he's back playin again for his hometown team .. but they def have good footballing family
Surely should be our LB starter now with Killer moved to a League One side
Our next competitive match isn't for another three months, a lot can change in that time. If Cunningham keeps playing week in and week out then surely he'll get the start.
Seems like he's being stretchered off at the moment. Sounds serious but hopefully it's not.
Where's the huge number of left-backs that Kilbane can be dropped for? Cunningham is having the first run of games in his entire career, there just hasn't been an option to replace Kilbane until now and even then it's a very, very raw replacement that we'l have to be using unfortunately.
Looks like a broken leg. Maybe tibia.

O.S. reports it as a red card late tackle

Well that's the end of that then. Kilbane will continue to start for us. Cunningham will be back next season I'm sure.
Can't believe it. Another young promising Irish player, another serious injury. Best of luck to Greg in his recovery.
Terrible news. Best of luck to him.
Tibia is the main bone in the leg.
Hope it not a bad break, end of his season for sure.
undergoing an operation right now. Hope he comes back stronger, terrible tackle.
Unbelievable.
Ed. by Shane Duffy! Amazing bad luck for us as an international side in the last few years.
That's right, I mean of the main bone of the lower leg, the other smaller one is like the ankle bone, I know because I broke my ankle bone a while back, I think I might have fractured the tibia too (not sure). I be surprised if the smaller bone was not broken as well, but what would I know.
I just saw it on The Football League Show, Gregg came flying in, it would be hard to blame the other guy, it was a 50/50 ball.
Pretty hard to see exactly what happened at that speed, just a painful looking clash of legs.
Looking on the bright side, going around on crutches is good for your upper body strength.
I wish him a speedy recovery.
He wasn't that good to begin with, not much of a loss. Kilbane should be able to cover the LB spot for another couple of years at least.

Kilbane is a hero to me, but you must be having a laugh?
Kilbane has just signed for Huddersfield Town in League One on loan, and he will be playing in centre-mid for them filling in for some injured fella. You really think he'd be a better option than a fit Cunningham? Cunningham has won a lot of praise this season from Eriksson and Leicester fans.
You'd last about 30 seconds as a football scout!
You guys need to turn up your sarcasm meter...
Such a pity for Cunningham. I wonder if Kevin Kilbane will now target 200 caps. I'm sure Trapattoni will continue to pick him even if he is playing in the Ryman Premier Division.
4 months according to Sven.
I missed this bit of injury new or else I heard something but was afraid to open up the thread to find out the extent.
By all accounts he was doing very at Leicester, keeping his place ahead of a decent experienced defender in Berner.
One report said it was a compound fracture. Sven says 4 months out? that's a blessed relief, if he's telling it as it is.
