very welcome sir!
BlobbyBlob, would you have a list of any bars around the Latin Quarter. i'm sure they will not be hard to find but it would be good to know anyway
just been on to the FAI, the total number of applications received for the French game was 23,000 tickets and we have been allocated 8,000. They are trying to get a larger number of tickets allocated for that game. I just hope i can get a couple of tickets
hopefully the french won`t be too interested in the match and we can snap up their tickets. 23,000 applicants? how are alll these people getting to paris that weekend ? :) :)
just reading there that zidane is going to announce his international retirement today.
First post 'cos I just found this site :)
Just to let you all know that there has been no date announced by the FFF as to when the tickets are going on sale but normally it's 6 weeks before the game which would mean next weekend.
I'm a member of FFF and get e-mails weekly from fnac.fr (where I buy my tickets) so I'll post here as soon as I hear anything.
Also I know that this is my first post and you don't know me from Adam, but if anyone wanted to use my address here in Paris to receive tickets they could have them sent to me and I'd meet up with them on the big day.
Though if you buy them via www.fnac.fr, you can just choose to pick them up at the shop (5 in Paris) with your reservation number that they send to you via email.
Pubs are everywhere but Irish pubs are the most expensive with pints from 5 to 7euro on a Sat evening.
ptegan
Any advice for good pubs in the latin quarter, i know there are plenty and all will be packed no matter what the price thgat weekend
we are staying just off Boulv Saint Michelle in a small hotel, right up near Luxemburg Gardens, i've been there a couple of time but always with the missus so i'll be seeing a different side of paris this time hopefully with a group of 14 donegal edjits in tow.
irwinsalegend....
Here's a map of the major bars on the left-bank (south of the river).
AFAIK, there aren't a whole lot of bars that stay open late on weekends. Most bars shut at 2am but you'll find the old one that stays open until 5am (Mcbrides/Corcorans/O'Sullivans).
Happy Hours are normally from 7 'til 9 or thereabouts, but they don't work on weekends.
Here is the link to the other maps of PAris for those on the right bank and up by Pigalle.
And here is a list of pubs/bars in the city which I worked on but it hasn't been updated in about 12 months. I was hoping to get something ready for the match but it's kinda too late now.
Either way, with the public transport so good and pretty cheap you can go anywhere no matter where your hotel is :)
Ok , folks , last year I was one of those who did not receive tickets for the Swiss game from Euroteam, but I had other tickets anyway through Ticketcorner so i got in.
This year the french game looks like there is going to be overwhelming demand.
i have bought tickets through these guys (below) and they have guaranteed me that they will have them for me . fair enough price too....70 Euro for cat1 ticket.
They even said they might be able to get me into the Irish end.
Anyway here is the link.
I am not an agent for these guys so don't blame me if you are not successful or lose cash with them

Best of Luck
Very interesting - this does not appear to be a tout site - Euroteam were touts who sell tickets for events at a high price and then try and buy them for less and if they can't just tell the punters to FO.
However strange that fnac and the French Football Federation have not started selling our game yet. These are the normal sources for french home tickets.
Still no harm in booking.
Delivery to Ireland is €16.50 btw which is a bit steep but I doubt if anyone will complain.
No harm in booking this as I'm sure there will be plenty of takers if you're stuck with extras.
Thanks Barnabee for passing on that info .. I'd have a quick gander at this before buying these tickets ..

(click on sales agreement below)
I just booked 5 tickets myself at €60 each which appear to be the second most expensive seats so hopefully we will have a decent view of the game. They don't appear to be a tout so here's hoping.
Maybe if so many Irish people booked from that site within a certain time you'd get seats in or around the same area. A bunch of Irish together can only be a good thing and boost the atmosphere. :)
1) the prices are fair
2) they have promised the tickets and give you a way of tracking your tickets and shipment
3) having spoken to them they seem honest and their terms and conditions are the same for any concert etc...standard but fair.
4)I was on the site last week and booked my tickets when there was availability, then the option disappeared from the site so I called them to find out what was wrong, he said they had no more of an allocation for the game but did say they were getting a further allocation today , and true to his word this has appeared on their website. Since this morning this allocation has been dwindling since as now their seems to be less available in the diferent categories.
This would suggest that they are not a tout , they have been allotted a certain number of tickets from FFR to sell and when these run out the option to book them will disappear.
Those who were caught out by Euroteam last year will have noticed that Euroteam accepted the option to buy ticktets fom their site right up to the day of the game.....pure chancers. they subsequently did not deliver.
As I said best of luck , but don't blame me if it goes t1ts up.
they now only have cat 4 and cat 5 left
Just ordered some catogary 2 ticket's ten minute's ago, will be tracking dhl now until they do show up.
just saw the thread.... serves me right for not going online at work more
cat 4 tickets 30e and 13.50e postage
lest keep our fingers crossed
good luck people :D
Hey lads this link on the french fa site for the israel game http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/fr/mani...&idtier=157039
shows the layout of the ground and where the diffrent cat tickets are situated.
just as an idea of where our tickets should be :D hope it helps
Gents, below is a message I got from Mosaic today.
Just to let you know I am a normal punter just looking for tickets who offered my services of posting their links on a few Irish soccer boards. They thought i was some kind of marketing company or something.
Either way they appear to still have a few tickets available for cat 4 on their site.

Just bagged a couple of tickets from the Mosaic site. Euro 30 each and 13.50 delivery charge to Sussex.
Interestingly the confirmation e-mail states.......
Your credit card payment has been accepted and your order is being processed. Your account will only be debited once your tickets are effectively purchased (within a four-day maximum lap). Mosaico World will send you an e-mail to confirm the booking of your tickets and the sending of your Event Pass.
This suggests to me Mosaic haven't actually got the tickets themselves yet and need to source them before debiting me.
Normally if the FFF aren't selling the tickets on their site then not one else has them to sell, even if they are sure to have them to sell.
If you read the french site tickets are sold through a number of outlets including the Virgin megastore, FNAC etc - both online and through stores.
It is how the French sell their tickets as they normally don't have huge demand - eg we could sell the game in Lansdowne 20-30 times over - they would struggle to sell out St. Denis without visiting fans.
This site appears to be legit and I would have no worries re pruchasing from them - you are fully covered if you pay by credit card anyway and don't get your tickets. I suspect they already have an allocation of tickets from the French Federation and just jumped the gun and put them on sale. The French are obviously trying to sell more Israel tickets first.
I think the french are going to get quite a shock when they see how fast their tickets are selling and to where. Even if they subsequently restrict tickets to French residents it won't be a problem.
Hopefully tickets will be on sale by the time we play the Swiss so fans can pop into Mulhouse and buy them over the counter.
where to buy France v Israel tickets (assume ours will be the same)
Dans le réseau Ticketnet (Auchan, E-Leclerc, Galeries Lafayette, Virgin).
Dans le réseau France-Billet (Fnac, Carrefour, Printemps, Géant ).
Dans le réseau PSG Billetterie.
CE – Collectivités : 01 55 93 01 49
Via Internet : www.fff.fr (version anglaise)
Par téléphone : 0 892 695 892 (0,34 euro / mn).
Prix des places : 20 – 30 – 45 – 55 - 65 Euros.
where abouts is the english version click for the french fed site???
I don't think there is an English version of the FFF site.
I just mailed Mosaico World, and asked them if they could put my four tickets with three tickets (category 4) from a friend of mine .. and they said it would be no problem at all.
Perhaps, we could organise to group more of the tickets together , so that we have a mini-Irish section(s) ... "Ni neart go chuir le cheile", and all that
I've had a look on the mosaico site and can't see the Ireland game. Is there anywhere in particular I need to look ?
There's at least 4 of us heading out, and they do discounts for groups of 10 or more, so would be happy to hook-up with a few others to get them cheaper and split the delivery charge.
click on the english site version
click on Paris
click on sports
and scroll down through , you should come across the Irish game about 4 options down
actually just tried again myself , looks like they have taken the option away.
they may have more for sale over the next few days , keep on revisiting the site. This has happened already with them.
Best of Luck
I managed to book 4 (Cat 4) tickets today at around 15:00.
if there are no tickets available from the mosaico website does anybody know where else u mite be able to get tickets from.lookin for 4 tickets
thanks
loads of advice right back through this thread, and there's another one titled tickets for Paris , there's lots to read through but I'm sure it'll be helpfulQuote:

Hope this is useful.
Tickets are not going on sale for at least another week (possibly after the France Israel game).
The tickets being sold by Mosaic (amongst others) are sold BEFORE the tickets are allocated. Basically Mosaic sell them and send them out when they receive their allocation from the french FA. This should be ok but be warned , if everyone piles into Mosaic and buys tickets now there is a chance you will get a 'sorry we were oversubscribed and dont have them for you' email arriving (rather like the FAI).
If you want to order from the French FA there is a useful map showing the categorys and seating which is currently on the website for the France Israel match
http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/fr/mani...&idtier=157039
Tickets are also sold from various shops in France. They are (and the definitions are not mine but a french friend)
Virgin - obvious
Auchan - (massive supermarket chain , like Tescos. It has a red and white bird as a symbol)
Leclerc - supermarket
Carrefour - has two triangles and a C as its sign
fnac - clothes store
priintemps - clothes store
Lafegette - clothes store
So if you know someone in france they will be able to pick them up from one of these shops and send them to you.
I am in Basel so hopefully if they are on sale we might be able to pop into France , find one of these shops and pick some up.
You can still buy them online from the French FA by going to their website and running through the normal procedure (logon , set up account , credit card etc) :)
The bit about ' I am in Basel' should have read ' I am in Basel for the swiss game' just in case anyone thought I was living there and was happy to take on any drunken stray looking for free bed and board !
Bloody great, the only day I'm not searching the french sites for tickets and they go on blody sale. Mosaic my arse!! Never heard of them. Been mailing ticketnet and francebillet for the last two months for a sniff of the action.
****e to the FAI, even though I'm on the waiting list, theres a fat fcuk all chance they'll be sending the golden tickets my way.
What are you on about?Quote:

Mosaic are taking advance orders for tickets.
Mosaic is one foot in the door, still better than Ticketnet and francebillet, who have no info whatsoever!!Quote:

They will sellout our game but only after selling 30,000-40,000 to Irish fans.
Tracking the ticketnet, francebillet and stadefrance everday. So far not a fart from them. Same reply, they have no info, every time I email them.
Just emailed mosaic and they told me to register. Its only a matter of time before they all release their quota of tickets. All the irish crowd will snap them up. Poor french will be playing an away game, if this happens :D
I cant see anyone NOT getting tickets for this game. There are plenty of avenues to go through to get some tickets . 70,000 seats , 20,000 or more Irish , we will probably outnumber the french !
Remember there will be 8000 tickets at least given to those who applied through the FAI. That leaves a good 50,000 (after the French block bookers) for everyone to fight for. I cant see it being a problem.
Open the collar and let some off !
Its going to be like a home game out there ! Chambourcy Nouvelle Rodney !
