Once the conditions were met there was very little in the way to stop us playing in the premier. Of course we had a rubbish team but that wasn't the point.
I agree with Stu.
The FAI will play the waiting game (as they always do) then make up the punishment to leave Cork outside europe and above the bottom 3.
They always work backwards.
We deserve to be punished no doubt and IMO a fair punishment would be automatic relegation (from what I understand reports to the FAI have been on occasion total fiction) but like a poster said above the FAI will make up some magic figure that makes everyone "happy". Also the FAI cant stir things up too much here either...lets just say they wont want ALL the dirty linen washed in public ;)
10 points, and we'd have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for this pesky thread. :D:D
I think we can expect more points deductions to follow ?
10 points is just for entering the examinership process. If Cork are found to be have broken any rules with regards to players wages or licence documents they will face further deductions.
I knew when i put this Title of this thread up that it would stick out like a sore thumb and worry a few people:rolleyes:.I did it knowing too that media hacks, league officals etc do read these threads. It was however a genuine qs asked by mum and im sure loads of others too.
for the record i think 10 pts is not enough.
I see Kevin Doyle scored a hat-trick for Reading today.
I wonder will that make him more likely or less likely to leave Reading.
Remember Cork's future may well depend on him moving on by Monday.
Here's hoping he stays put so.
Just returning the sentiment boy.
