Interesting that the people who gave no penpics to UCD or to Cork then turn around to snap at UCD for the same thing. Yes, our fans website is totally out of date (we can't update it because of a Computer Services ****-up), but there's hardly a probem contacting us. Schumi and Pinapple Stu are the guys to talk to if you need information, and they're very quick to reply to emails.

What exactly makes it a "pamphlet" of a newsletter?
Would you like me to be pedantic? A "pamphlet" is defined as
[list=1][*]An unbound printed work, usually with a paper cover. [*]A short essay or treatise, usually on a current topic, published without a binding. [/list=1]

In other words, every program in the league is a "pamphlet" since none of them are, to my knowlege, bound.

The "errors" that Michael, our announcer, pointed out, were on the crappy teamsheet we had to scrounge from your website on receipt of exactly no information from you lot.

At the end of the day, Brian, we'll all have better productions if we co-operate. I suggest we do that early doors...though I'm unlikely to reply for a while as I've got a prog on hands this week and just got landed for the Davenport job also...

Squabbling will solve nothing - let's leave that to the FCs ;)

I don't usually buy programmes at away matches (the usual reason, most of what's in it is of interest to home fans only). But after reading this thread during the week, I copped a look at Dodge's on the bus on the way home.

I gotta say, it's a superb piece of work. The size is a bit weird, but the layout, legibility and general interesting-content level are all top notch. Fair play to all concerned.

I have seen a number of issues from clubs other than my own.
Cork City's B5 is bloody marvellous! it is by far the best publication in the Premier Division. It has content as well as presentation, substance as well as style.
Our programme in UCD has a lot of content and is produced within the constraints of a tight budget and the proviso that it is not to lose the club any money. As such it is a good read, which can be needed if the fare on offer on the pitch is not the mae west!

Went to Bohs-UCD on Friday. Program was, to put it mildly, ****e.

About thirty pages in all. 23 pages of ads, an editorial of sorts, 2 pages on their U16s and a 4-page interview with Simon Webb.

On the other hand, it was glossy...:rolleyes:

CCFC programme gets better every time i see it. By far best programme ever to grace the eL. Hope the sales are good enough to justify the expense.

Isn't far off the quality of the internationla matches at Lansdowne & certainly better than any GAA programmes i've seen this year.

We've got it down to a more comfortable size, and knocked a lot of the little glitches out of the presentation, so it's fairly smooth now.
I think the copy is a decent standard and the articles varied, the pix and graphics top notch. Could always be better no matter what standard you actually hit, of course, but we are well pleased with what we've got right now.
Gotta admit there's a lotta work in it, but the last 1 sold out which is rewarding, the first to s/o since Bohs earlier in the season.
IMO, it could be better supported - selling about 1 per 4-5 people incoming. Acceptable norm would be 1 in 3, so we've a way to go there. Guess old habits die hard with some people... :(

BTW, there are back issues available in the Programme Cabin at home games, or in the Club Shop during office hours if you wanna get that 1 you missed out on or would just like to sample what's on offer. Buying the programme = another way of supporting the club.
