That would be the voices inside your head screaming again.
KK made a favourable comparison with Evans, hoping Wilson would turn out to be as good for us as Johnny is for NI.

It was back page of the 'Irish' Star. Was gonna post it but they've no website so there was no link. Nothing story, simply the IFA talking sh1te again....
I don't think the 21st birthday is relevant here though, Kennedy was just regurgitating the standard line about him being ineligible to play for us under any circumstances, he wasn't trying to get the player himself to voluntarily switch alleigance.
Could the (non) debate about Marc Wilsons eligibility be kept for another thread?
This one here is about his career progress.
Thanks
Apparently there is a good article in todays Irish Star about Wilson's recent performances.
If anyone can access this and post it here, I would be grateful.
take it outside boys, Northern Ireland VS Spain at Windsor Park has little or nothing to do with Marc Wilson's progress at Portsmouth.
Don't have a problem with a discussion of the game, but it can lead down the same old roads.
Man City's game against Portsmouth on saturday is not televised.
Sky are showing Villa vs West Brom
Setanta are showing Arsenal vs Bolton Wanderers and Stoke vs Liverpool
you could probably get it on a stream though if you're very keen on seeing Wilson in action.
We would be much better served if Tets was put in charge of editing the coverage to be shown on RTE's highlights program.

IFA STATEMENT: MARC WILSON
09/01/2009
Over the last period of time, representatives from the Irish Football Association have been looking into the issue of Marc Wilson (current Portsmouth player) playing for the Republic of Ireland.
The Association can confirm that the player qualifies through his Grandparent and he has signalled his wish to play for the Republic of Ireland International team.
As far as the Association is concerned, this specific case is now closed.
So the fact he is an Irish citizen born and bred in Ireland has nothing to do with it.
These people really are stupid!!
Love that statement. The fact is, regardless of whether he has a grandparent born in the north, he is entitled to play for the Republic under the current rules.
Portsmouths game with Man City is called off due to the weather.
Adams and Hughes live for another day.
Wilson starts for Portsmouth tonight, looks like he will be playing in midfield.
Match is being showing on Setanta sports 1 and Setanta Ireland.
It's also on justin TV

Seems to be having a good game.
Played a solid match, playing in a holding role in front of the back four in a formation not dissimilar to ours alongside Kabul (yikes!).
On the basis of this performance, he could be an option for us at some stage as one of the central midfielders.
Hasnt even made de bench in a gud while for Portsmouth. Any1 know if he is injured or just no being picked? I was very impressed with what i saw from him
He was out with a hip injury. but is in the squad for the game against Man City today
