Limerick Desmond League 2016/17

Ya great win for abbey and by all accounts the better team with 10 men for over an hour.i c fixtures for weekend.the pick of the games glin v ncw rovers.also tough trip to knockdown for abbey.killeaney always do well against them.. as regards the Oscar traynor is think it's pointless playing division 2 teams or even prem teams to be honest unless it's pike or boro etc. U need to play at higher level to c can u compete at that level. Also that team that played other night is poor enough with the quality players in league..no dis recept to players but I think there is better quality out there.. is date for first game fixed yet?

There's Defo one or two who didn't look to be of a high enough standard in my opionon. Lack of interest from abbeyfeale apparently seemingly. Think there's a couple more from Rathkeale to come though. And Quaid was missing too

On a more worrying note heard Newcastle West are in trouble, didn't have enough numbers for the match against Athea Sunday.
Hope they sort it out soon or else they'll be in big trouble.

Jesus. Does anyone know when the last time Newcastle west were not in the top division?
There B team had 10 subs against Pallaskenry in a cup game.

Yeah they are.

Do you know any more of why or what happened ? I know they were roping players together to fulfill fixtures last year but heard nothing since, just no sign of them on the tables.

Not sure of the ins and outs of it but I know that they couldn't get a team together this year.

Was anyone at the glin abbey match. Heard it was some craic

Old Mill were struggling to field a side for the last couple of seasons and after back to back relegations it was kind of inevitable they would fold. Always a pity to see a club go. Fisticuffs a plenty at that Abbey v Glin game last weekend apparently.
