Seems to be a combination of factors really, confidence has been visibly shattered by that Dundalk game and the usual fight and heart that you'd associate with a Horgan team has disappeared, coupled with his refusal to rotate the squad enough has left us at a low ebb at the minute, but we'd want to shake out of it sharpish.
I'd say people just can't afford the 12 euro entry into the match on top of the 30 quid a pop into the physio to get their necks looked at.
Hoofball from keeper to opposition centre half. It does get varied every so often when the keeper rolls it out to the centre half who then hoofs it up the pitch to the opposition centre half.
3 attempts on target last night, a scuffed 30 yard effort from Molloy, a decent free kick from Flately and a header from Packie Mailey from a corner.
Greg Moorehouse is a handy player. Any reason he's not been snapped up by a LOI side???
When is the draw for the next round??
I was in Lansdowne last week, and Crumlin absolutely battered Letterkenny 5-0 (the same Letterkenny that drew with Athlone I think?). Honestly it could have been double-figures. Ollie Horgan was at the Inter Cup final too scouting Crumlin.
Crumlin are as good a non-league side as you're likely to see, and would not be out of place in the first division. Any time I've seen them they play good football.
Also they have Shane Supple in goal for them.

Letterkenny rovers 0 Athlone 0 into ET
Athlone Town score in the last minute of extra time in Letterkenny. Crowd of around 400 in Leckview Park for a 6pm kick-off. A lot of Harps fans in to support Letterkenny before heading off to a big fundraiser in McGettigans.
Rather mediocre game of football had in United Park on Tuesday.
Patterson finally scored one of his free kicks, Drogs back into it with a silly penalty, and Josh Daniels with a lovely goal to win it.
Plenty of fouling and mistakes all round though. Not that I cared too much, into the next round is the main thing.
On Drogheda, thought they played their game well, especially at the Brandywell. They really made it difficult for us, even if we weren't on top form.
Drogheda would have to be fairly confident of finishing in the promotion spots, judging by what I've seen from them.
As an aside, whilst United Park is pretty horrible for away fans in general, the Windmill has been done up and is looking well. Bit of a craft beer selection now too, with knowledgeable bar staff. Lovely!
Drog fans would be hiding away in Mother Hughes. Been done up about 5 years now which surprised me when the barman said it. They have also put as stop to serving patients attached to drips that sneaked out of the hospital for a quickie...or so they said with the hospital porters number beside the phone!
Sorry for butting in, but the Windmill is one of my personal favourite away boozers. Hope drogs get back this season for that reason alone.
There, Tory top in cork, and any number of pubs in Galway are my favourite desired location's on away days.
Any idea on when the draw will be? Was 17th July last year.
Can't understand why they didn't do the draw directly after the last round.
As per FAI Press Release.Quote:
The draw for the Third Round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Senior Cup will take place at 11:00 in the Conference Gallery within the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Tipperary on Friday, July 29.
They also do this draw during the FAI AGM. It is silly, but on the scale of FAI silliness...
