Theres a difference between taking his work seriously and taking it too seriously though. I agree his reports are good.

I actually like a lot of your work I thought you were spot on with the formation you gave and made good points in other parts, there are also 2 points in the report on the Sligo game I disagree with but that doesn't mean I am discrediting your work or don't enjoy it overall I have enjoyed your work on the junior game a lot. I appreciate you seeing why I waded in to respond to the original comment.

I accept that I am quite sensitive, yes. That is tied into the fact that I do not, in fact, think highly of myself. Or at least I didn't for a long time. That's why I'm only making a proper go of this now - ten years later than I should have.

I also accept that I can be defensive. But I hope you can see that that is only in response to unfair criticism or personal abuse. If you're being honest, I also get a lot of constructive criticism that I take on the chin.

As for the accusation of not letting it go, I think that's directed at the wrong person to be frank.

Finally, I also appreciate da bishop's comments. I do take a lot of pride in my work and put a significant amount of time into it. I now think it's up there with anything emanating from other media sources. Shame it's taken me so long to believe that.

Also the "widely tipped" 4-4-2 is a straw man you pulled directly from your arse.

The levels of touchiness are franklymind boggling for a report you finished two hours after watching a game once on telly from 1 and a half camera angles.

If you're genuinely questioning the bit you've quoted, LTID, then it's pointless arguing the toss with you. Completely pointless, in fact.

Bluewhitearmy, you're dead right - I'm going to have to develop a tough skin by the time next season rolls around. Perhaps I might be best served to take the tack that other journalists do - indulging the exalted view that a certain section of the Limerick support has of itself.

I'll leave you to discuss the tears. Bye for now.
