Waterford 1-1 Cobh.. half time
Waterford 2-1 up now
Full time 2-1 just as i predicted
AFAIK, 2nd Round will be an open draw, pool by pool. Each pool now has 4 clubs, so second round winners all go into the Cup quarter-finals, where there will be a full open draw.
2nd Round draw could take place any time soon, now that all 1st Round matches have been played, but not much later than the week after Easter, I suspect!
Round schedule is as follows:
MON/TUE 20/21 May – SECOND ROUND
MON 01 Jul – QUARTER-FINALS
MON 05 Aug – SEMI-FINALS
SAT 21 Sep – FINAL
These are the pools. Max of 3 possible opponents for each club
Teams left;
Pool 1; Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Wexford
Pool 2; Finn Harps, Mervue, Derry, Sligo
Pool 3; Bohs, Bray, Pats, Salthill
Pool 4; Drogheda, Dundalk, Longford, Rovers
After this round, the pools are forgotten

It's almost as bad as us getting Derry. At least this time it's in Finn Park.
It's getting ridiculous at this stage.. I know it gives us a great chance of getting through but would of been good for a change to get waterford
Waterford. Lost four in a row last year, maybe Thomond and the lack of Maguire will alter things.

It was the league cup alright. I didn't really see a need for the Kerry League to be entering when Dynamos were in the A Championship but with that gone, I'd have thought the Kerry League team would still enter the league cup. In saying that though, the main reason for the Kerry League team entering was for the competitive game ahead of the Oscar Traynor Cup.
