Lads, With the exception of Given not completing a move, it has been a good period for most of the top Irish players who made moves which should mean they play - Keane, Ireland and Reid in particular. The big shock I believe was Sammon joining Wigan. It will be interesting to watch his progress. I know I have mentioned this before , but hopefully Mick and the other Irish lads can have a chat with O'Hara about his international future.
It's a pity Glenn Whelan didn't get a move, he seems to be out of the picture at Stoke. They don't have a reserve team either, so he'll be woefully short of match practice. He's a favourite of Trap's, but surely he can't be picked if he's not played any games?
While he isn't starting for Stoke, he does come off the bench quite frequently. I believe Tets said he was the Irish player who came off the bench most last month. Not ideal but he isn't in a situation as bad as Robbie at Spurs.
