Am I right in thinking that it's only the seated capacity that's allowed to be used for UEFA games?
If that is the case, what sort of capacity would we be looking at in the Showgies?

I think it has to be around 3,000 seats. There is 1550 seats in the Treacy Avenue. There is also a bench at the back of this stand but would UEFA pass that on their inspection? The bench would bring the stand over the 1700 mark. 870 in the Jinks Avenue side plus another 300 are supposed to be installed for Europe. If you were to include everything there it would be quite close to 3,000.
I think the minimum required for the qualilfiers is 2,500
For reference pats played our first two games in Richmond last year (and the game the year before), and I'd say our seated capacity is roughly 2,800
Showgrounds should be fine
I really hope Showgrounds passes and is allowed host it.We will know in 2/3 weeks i suppose.
If its in the showgrounds I'd say it would be very hard to get a ticket. We'd easily get 3,000 people out.
What would be your reaction to ticket prices lets say it they put it up to 20euro? No children/Student tickets? Would be a good money spinner but how would it go down do you think?
Tickets should be allocated to members ,seasons tickets and supporters clubs first then the leftovers to go on general sale a good option would be to launch a mini-season ticket covering the remaining league games just before the European games giving an option to buy European tickets , someone else suggested that supporters could buy the new seats for the jinks stand maybe these should also have an option to buy European tickets. First few games will be in showgrounds but will probably have to play the group stages in dalymount as new set of rules for them.
We can all stay in Seamie's.

Page 5 (Article 14 – Floodlighting). I'm guessing this is where the Showgrounds will fall down. The lighting standard on one side of the ground is pretty bad for that side of the pitch and in the stand as well.
You can probably KO in daylight and finish in daylight if you start early like Cork and Derry did when they reached the UEFA Cup 1st round as they didn't have cat. 3 lighting facilities, which is a stadium category above what you need, cat. 2.
The stoney surface around the ground would be a problem too no?
the car park was tared
some of the rules take the pi$$ the colour of the ground must be neutral
Ya id say so. The general state of the Jinks (ie.falling to pieces) could do us over.
Really hope the club can get it up to standard though. Fingers crossed.
This 'buy your own seat' thing could be an idea. I wonder if the club sold it with the idea of putting the person's name on and guaranteeing them a ticket for the 1st round match for €40 would there be much demand. Maybe offer the second round if we get through included?
A good money spinner aye but not exactly a great move PR wise. Whatever about putting it up to E20 (which is what a number of clubs charge in the LOI if memory serves me rightly) but to have no concessions would be a gaffe. European football is the sort of thing to get kids in and hooked for life. Charging them E20 a pop woun't exactly do this IMO.

Lads,
This might be useful as you are in the same boat as ourselves.
This is the "tagged" google map of who/where we might play. I have entered the opponents where possible, where not I have selected the capital of the country.
I will update as/when new opponents are confirmed.
We have working on a travel matrix and some of the away costs are going to be phenomenally expensive, never mind a nightmare to get to(ie booking twenty seats ten days before a game!)
New Saints Fc.. that would be a handy trip. Conall Murtagh playes for them now.
