Anyone read Kerr in the times this morning? More pessimism. Baffled by Reid's exclusion. Kind of berates Glenn Whelan, saying he capped him at every underage level, but that he's not up to Int football.
Criticises Trap for announcing team so early as it allows the opposition time to form a gameplan etc. That it creates a bad atmosphere in the team (cites example of when he was manager he named team as late as possible which left 15/16 players possibly in with a shout.)

Finnan is by far our best full-back, one of our best and most consistent players and has played in two Champions League finals and a World Cup. He is also an exemplary professional and will be fit. Perhaps not 100% match sharp, but he's played at a level above and beyond most others in the team and his 90% match sharpness will still be far better than anything Kelly or Foley have ever produced.Quote:

The future is good if Kelly can adapt to International Football. He was very solid last season & I'm suprised he didn't get a move to a top 10 team in the English League.
