Yes. Good lad. I read the article already.

Tis a pity you feel the need to be so patronising
Unspecified "Reports from East Anglia" are not the most reliable determination of who may have been of interest to McCarthy and his entourage in Oriel Park.
Sean Gannon, Andy Boyle, Daryl Horgan, Richie Towell, Chris Shields and Pat Hoban are all young players who have attracted cross-channel interest this season
Boyle would be the biggest lost to our side in my opinion.
To quote Kenny Cunningham "at this particular moment in time"
But any loss of any of those players mentioned by Ezekiel would severely hamper our aspirations for the season. It regardless of who we could get to step in an fill the void
I'm sure you could refer to some scouting reports from East Anglia to find a good replacement.
Johnny C to Inter Milan? It seems like all of Europe's top clubs are watching City this season ;)

Apparently Cork City offered Cobh 6 players that are no longer eligible for their u19 team on loan but Martin Cambridge doesn't seem to want them
If that includes Darren Murphy then he is mental.
He's a class player, that young man. Not to be confused with the older (currently/constantly injured) Darren Murphy...
Younger Darren really looks the business, IMHO.
Philly Hughes is in the squad for Bray tonight against MK Dons. Does that mean his transfer has gone through or are Drogheda just letting him play because it's a friendly?
It may seem like madness but I can understand the Cobh's manager being reluctant to bring in players from other clubs.
If a club are trying to avoid relegation or are going for promotion then it may be beneficial to bring in players on loan but Cobh are in neither position. If Cobh bring in players on loan then it serves no other purpose other than to give the players in question game time at a higher level than they would otherwise get. This also has the effect of a clubs own players being denied playing time at a reasonable level therefore stopping their progression. In this instance there is simply no benefit to Cobh in taking players on loan.
City have to send players out on loan in order to progress them & they need to do that at the highest level possible. Cobh being the nearest 1st Div club would suit the bill perfectly. If that fails then perhaps Waterford ?
If City have a B team in the 1st div next season then they will no longer have a problem in getting promising players game time at a reasonable level & the players will have the benefit of playing within their own clubs playing systems instead of having to adapt to some other clubs style of play.
I think that you have convinced me. Valid point. Still wouldn't mind Darren Murphy though!
From today's Indo

With Ciaran Kilduff potentially on his way to Sligo in exchange for Danny North, and St Pat's keen to add Karl Sheppard to their ranks, a path has developed for Kelly to jump from fourth choice to first in Croly's plans. - See more at: http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc....IFr8NquH.dpuf
I'd think Sligo are getting the better end of that deal if true.
Croly never ceases to surprise with spectacular judgement!
Hearing now that Darren Murphy and Anthony McAlavey may be on the way to Cobh on loan from Cork City. Would be two great moves for both clubs. Hope it works out
Ex Cork and Rovers Shane O'Connor played for us today seemed ok what is he like?
He's obviously hugely talented but seems to be a personality problem there. He was terrific in a couple of games for Rovers but was nowhere near the squad the rest of the time and got let go early.
From what I remember he is/was a left full but wanted to play left wing and was whinging about that. Think he went off on trial in the UK again only a few months after signing for cork and ended up with rovers for a few months. Seems he thought he was better than this league. He has been out of any decent level of football for nearly a year now so maybe it will have brought him back to earth a bit.
Any word on Lenihan off Cork going anywhere yet? I know there was some interest from a few premier league sides.
He's really had a great season, though he has slipped a little in recent weeks (that might just be me judging him harshly against a very high standard). He was particuarly outstanding against Pats at the Cross and again at Richmond from what I saw/heard/read, it was just a pity he didn't get enough support on that side and Bermingham got far too much free space.
I didn't think he had a great game in Richmond, to be honest. Forrester had plenty of luck in the second half, and he had a good few opportunities to cross and skied it, and I think at least one of the goals was down to his positioning.
Cobh ramblers release seven players. James Carson, Damian O'Rourke, Mikey O'Shea, Dave Walsh, Adam Thompson, Jonathan Spillane and Andrew Bhandarkar. None were in the squad for the last month or two
Steven McCarthy, ex-Sunderland, is supposed to be playing for us in the friendly against Cobh tonight.
