Best of luck to daithi with the boro, hope he does well.
I think Abbey were unlucky to go down, when you look at the league table and see Hill Celtic with -70 goals and abbey only conceding 30 there is the difference, Abbey were loosing by the odd goal to all the top sides, were as hill Celtic were giving walk overs, which isn't on.
Abbey were docked 3 points also.
Well done to balla on winning the league - you have to feel sorry for carew. The FAI are after costing them an FAI junior cup.

I hope so, good bunch of lads.
Bigger squad next season and one or two to cop themselves on then straight back up I believe.
Good luck to you and Walla

Hope ye dont turn into the new garaldines - up and down every year.
I wont think so there is a much better set up with Abbey which help attract players, where as geraldines a great club down the years find it hard to attract players because they really don't have a good ground.
Whatever about the whole controversy around the Carew park game, they really let limerick down with the mindless actions of some of their "supporters" yesterday. Bottles being thrown onto the pitch by young and old. Absolute disgrace.
I totally agree, absolutely disgraceful Westport players were only here to play a match. No one deserves that sort of abuse and treatment in an amatuer game.
If it happened to a Limerick club up in Ballymun we'd all be complaining today.
WHAT ABOUT PLAYERS LIKE MADDEN, WILL HE STAY WITH THE CLUBQuote:

Astlalavista and slippers I miss my daily fill of '****', 'scum', 'rat' talk ..... where are ye, ye did yer city proud last night on full time ... cheers, we may see another Prime time special about it.
Marketsfield and Magicman - all Pikes money spent on new signings and fancy gear but one thing ye can't buy is bottle. Had the game by the scruff of the neck Balla showed ye what pride in a jersey is all about.
news just in .... Astlavista, slippers, magic man and marketsfield spotted together in the horse and hound this morning crying into their coco pops ... alls well that ends well on foot.ie
we will see who has got bottle on friday night down in jackman just hope all those carew park supporters stay at home cos we dont them going mad again go on the HOOPS......
To be totally honest i don't think abbey will be strong enough to go back up to the premier next year...I hear they are losing quite a few players but u can bet your ass that we(summerville ) will be right in the thick of it next year...we have a fine bunch of players and i reckon we will be back up next year...Just a few problems at the start of the season messed us up but we are all sorted now with our manager back and a new club house on the way and hopefully see a few old players and new players added to our squad...
Who are Abbey looseing Summervilleman?
Fine Club house by the way, just need some work to your pitch now and ye'll be doing well.
Happy zapper
I was talking to madden the other day - he said he has no interest in soccer anymore and that he hasnt enjoyed it since he played on that great fairview minor team a couple of years back. All his time is taken up by the fact that he is on the brink of becoming a professional gambler.
He is a good player, pity.Quote:

that is the first i heard about shane wanting to break lawlor legs you could be right i dont know but i know the two and i met both last week together and it didnt look like he wanted to break his legs den so stop talking balls ! i also heard none of the trouble makers turned up that is only good for the club and also some good young players were there looks promising already for the boroQuote:

Con grads 2 the balla lads could every one on this site log into the wesport and carew site, mad max is getting carried away.
Backodanet
Could be true but as yet i have heard nothing but it wouldnt be the first time he was offered the job.I dont think we will ever see Dermot looking after a Limerick Junior team again. He was also offered the Limerick under 21s job but turned it down

Not to sure who they are losing just heard it thats all but it could be bull...Yes we could do with a good job being done on our pitch but its a gradual process...Clubhouse, then premier status(hopefully again) and then work on the field...really needs to be sorted though...sooner rather than later...
i think you got me wrong of course they need experienced players but would you rather want experienced players who like dictating the team and manager, or players who play for the manager and the teamQuote:
