Given the group we had been given, Rosenborg probably were the easiest draw (assuming it is them)! I'm not buying that Suduva would have been easier, their recent record suggests they'll likely beat Red Star anyway.

Very tough draw for Dundalk too, but don't look past Larnaca. They're as good as any Sturm Graz!

Never mind Ajax or Sturm, need to get past AEK on Thursday at home first, they are slight favs to win this in oriel park (DLK 17/10 v AEK 7/5)

Larnaca out of season though. Dundalk should have a decent chance of going through. There should be no fear for them going into this tie. its looks fairly 50-50.

Ok - I don't support Dundalk nor Cork City but I make this statement - over the last 5 years - (bert kassies 5 years club ranking) - at present Dundalk are ranked 141st best club side in Europe with 7pts (1.5pts got this year so far) out of 490th teams I think which is a fair achievement! Cork City are 230th placed with 3.75pts (Zero this year) which is still ok and are above Rangers and Hibs from Scotland! But there is a sizable gap between both clubs so far in Europe. And in fairest, it is up to these 2 clubs to drive on the league now in Europe which is tough but I think Dundalk can get over AEK and then Graz and Cork can get by Rosenburg!

I think at this stage of the qualifying rounds,all you can hope for is a tie that you have a chance in. With Dundalk, Larnaca and Strum (if they lose to Ajax and Dundalk get through) present that and likewise with Cork if as expected it is Rosenborg. Derry and Rovers showed this to an extent based on their 2nd leg performances. Good Luck to both sides.

Just saw the goals from Cork/Legia there. Shocking stuff really. All three were pretty awful errors. Cherry has been getting all the blame for the first, and he was poor, but Christ, how much time did they give the guy on the balll in the middle of the pitch to put in the cross ? Then a terrible pass in midfield to put the guy through for the second, and Damien Delaney made an awful effort at tracking and trying to tackle his man for the third, particularly bad flora someone who was playing in the Premier league in England until recently.

Assuming Cork City's home tie is played at Turner's Cross and is a sell-out regardless of who they face, is there actually any significant financial benefit to playing Celtic over Rosenborg? I know it would be hyped a lot as the "glamour tie", but would there be any option to actually earn, say, extra TV money? I guess you could argue that it could lead to increased long-term interest in the club, but then meeting Juventus and Spurs in two seasons hasn't led to Rovers selling out Tallaght regularly in the long-term
