No way. Progress tonight would have meant at least 4 more Euro games, a decent crowd against Anderlecht, possible TV rights and more UEFA prize money. Hard to imagine anyone connected with Bohs being anything other than gutted.Quote:

Dodge, if you have the brass neck to claim it was comprehensive or even more than poor finishing by the Maltese, then you should be quoted on FTSE metals market! Samara was a massive achievement but the club was falling apart. I'd seen them earlier in their season and they were scoring and playing for fun, the best team in the league by far. Then the money ran out, players weren't paid for 2 months before Europe and they collapsed. But it still ranks, no matter what, as one of the best results for an Irish team in Europe!Quote:

Spud, valetta didn't miss a single chance in either leg. They were disgracefully negative at home and there's no question the better team went through, and deserved to go through

you said above that you got to about 2 games over the last 30 years. was the valletta game one of them?. we were poor in the first leg but as dodge said that were shocking in the second leg. i was at the game also and they rarely threaten our goal. will not comprehensive, we deserved to go throu. as for samara, thats the way it goes.Quote:
