Fermoy 1-3 St. Mary's
On a smashing pitch on a lovely night for football only one team showed up to the play off to see who stayed up. 3-1 was the scoreline, it could have been so much more. It could have been so much more on the night. Relegation for us back to an incredibly competitive division one. How we would have loved to stay in the top flight but despite battling against the odds for a while we couldn't come up with one more result to see us stay up.
Beaten on the night in all departments the Mary's lads brought all their experience to the party and comprehensively stayed up. Congrats to Ken and the lads, its been amazing to have the chance to fight with these lads all season and we'd hope to get straight back up to the top flight if we can galvanise the troops for next season.
Hard luck Clifford, you're a credit to the club and the league. Good luck next season and hope ye come back up again right away.
Avondale beat Corinthians 5-1 tonight to finish their league campaign.

This really goes to show the gulf in class between Avondale and the chasing pack. Fair play they work hard for it...
Mary's 0-1 Rockmount in the O'Connell Cup semi this afternoon, a deflected shot just after half time settled it.
Avondale so far ahead it's frightening. On another note Midleton will do well to hold onto half their team with the O'Rourke's having crossed the devide from Springfield to Cobh Wanderers.
be no harm, midleton have a great setup from underage up, a shame more players are not coming through!
Crosshaven AFC are delighted to announce the return of Bobby Tambling, Chelsea & Crosshaven legend as Senior team manager for the 2013/2014 season. Bobby will take charge with immediate effect & will appoint his back room staff in due course. Bobby's love for the club, his ever improving health & his undoubted ability to coach & man manage players, especially younger ones, made this an easy decision for the club. All at Crosshaven AFC welcome Bobby back & wish him well for the coming season. Any players looking to contact Bobby with a view to pre-season training can do so at manager@crosshavenafc.com
Great to see bobby back in football, and it's great to hear he is on the mend health wise, lets hope he can get a decent team together next season and Crosshaven are up there challenging.
Trying to get players to travel down to crosshaven will be hard it'll be the same as bandon trying to attract players from the city no one wants to travel to play ball anymore.
didn't see that one coming, would be Interested to see what his knowledge of Msl is like, all the same great to see a legend of a man continuing to give his time to his local club.
Hey you can't knock a club for trying. Bobby was there before & has a super reputation with man management. If anyone can get the Crosshaven lads to finally pull together it will be him. It's great to see him back on his feet & back in football. Whatever about Crosshaven, this is great for the profile of the entire league. I'll be watching them with interest.
Any half decent young or old player going go to carrig with hally
Don't think your right there - I know a few lads in & around that squad and all are thrilled with Bobbys appointment. No doubt anyone that Greg brought to Crosshaven will follow him to Carrigaline but I think you'll find players from Crosshaven reluctant to go there.
Good Luck Bobby
