No you didnt!!
there is already a stong backbone with some very good players at olympic. Very unlucky not to get promoted this year. Hopefully with the experience of last year along with the addition of a few more good players we can make a strong push for promotion. Its a tough division and will take a lot of hard work but we will give it a right good go:ball:
Best of luck papa-j in your new role, on another note, Bunratty are on the look for a new manager, don't know if the management team left or were asked to leave. The lads that were there did a good job and i think will be sorely missed, have heard that both lads have been approached by different clubs for the new season. Anyone confirm or deny the lads have moved on??
Yes, the 2 lads offered their resignation at a committee meeting last Thurs.
Committee and players at Bunratty would all agree the lads done a fine job over the time they were involved. Team is in a much healthier state than when they took over. Well done and best of luck to both of them.
Search for a new manager begins....
Any feedback from Clare Lg AGM last night????
nah didnt hear a word...i presume oliver will have the details posted on the site in the next day or so, as he posted up the proposed motions a couple of days ago
Lads does anyone know who got team of the month for May or when does that get announced?
Ironic that only one of the four league champions won a team of the month award,
Rhine Rovers, correct me if i'm wrong but I know Bridge A or B did not win it!
Surely this is a joke? Rock maybe but the burren this is shocking. No disrespect to the burren. Newmarket will just have to win the FAI and Munster Junior next year and maybe just maybe they might be considered!
Well lads i was supposed to write this a few weeks ago but forgot and only thought of it to-day.it goes back to this years cup final and the presentation afterwards to the teams.Maybe it's just me but did anybody who was there notice how it was handled. I dont want to name names but the Clare league official who was calling out the names of the teams was dressed like he had just come from the mart!!! only thing missing was the stick..... While they were calling out the names he was asking the other fellow beside him " whats this name and whats that name" while the mike was on... My problem is that surely to god they should have to wear the official uniform of the Clare league and be prepared with the names of the teams it"s the only game of the season where they have to do this!!! Try and be as professional as they can for that one day... They want people to see that the Clare league is up there with the best, but surely on the biggest day of the year they could be prepared and do things right. It may just be a small thing but it really annoys me it has the attitude of sure lets just get things over and done with:mad:
come on, standard practice to arrive at the cup final to represent the Clare league dressed ready to turn the hay:rolleyes:
i totally agree with you ... i have seen clare league officals in the past take the cup out of plastic bag just before it is presented to winning team.. personally i think they should have a roped of area set aside before match with cup & medals on show and were both teams then go to accept cup & medals and as you said at least the league should make some attempt to dress up for the occasion . :D
