another mighty crowd in terryland.last game of a rough season with nothing at stake for utd approx 2300-2400 and about 2 ucd supporters
they dont even go to school down there so dont depend on them counting. The GUFC is the only gate thats allowed to be independently audited by a supporters group also next seasons season tickets at terryland will be state of the art electronic passes enabling counts instantly at turnstiles and emailed to head office instantly . Put that in your pipe and smoke it
Maybe 800-1000 at most at Bray Sligo tonight.
probably gonna be 50,000 at athlone tomorrow. at least 49,989 from Cobh!!:D
Official attendance at Terryland- 2,2??.
Didn't hear the last two figures.
Bit sad that UCD couldn't muster 20-25 lads together to make some noise for a team that were fighting to stay out of the play-offs, which could easily have been a possibility as things turned out. Atmosphere was a bit surreal at times as UCD piled on the pressure near the end without any vocal support.
2100ish id say at the ltfc vs dcfc match Stand was as good as full (1500) and easily another 500 + scattered around.
fantastic crowd at Terryland tonight for a game that didnt matter.UCD had no one at the game bar the players families which is pathetic even Monaghan or Kilkenny would bring more fans.
Me and pineapple were in Terryland last night and I dont really count so that makes 1 real fan but he shouts enuff for 20!:D:D:D
I think you'll find gufct is a troll worth ignoring, to be honest.
Thought 2288 was a bit on the high side as well, but anyways. What does the new stand hold? 1500?
Superfrank, Idont know where you got 800-1000, the covered stand was more or less full and there was a pretty good crowd behind the goal. I'd would have said between 1300-1400 at the game.
Actually Stu,i think a quick glance into our forum and you'll find you're a bit of a troll yourself, who also appears to be obsessed with GUFC.
2288 was the attendance.Love the way you think it was a bit high despite it been consistent with our attendances through out the year.
Besides,as a UCD fan,you wouldn't know much about big crowds in fairness.
I know enough about crowds that an attendance of 2288 requires there to be people in the main stand - http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=811823&postcount=10.
The new stand was between half and two thirds full. 2/3rds of 1500 is 1000. Where were the other 1300?
Like the way Galway fans harp on about Limerick fans being obsessed with their no mark club, and yet everytime I click into a thread with a few of them in it they seem to bring Limerick into the equation
How dare you Stu!?! I mean what would Galway have to gain from pretending they get more fans now they have already tricked the FAI into thinking they are a MASSIVE club!? Bloody UCD, again with the obsession :p
The goals were in the 1st minute. There was vast amounts of people still waiting to get in outside and quite a number missed the goals.
There was only about 1000 people in the ground 10 minutes before kick off.
You'll find if you watch EL weekly the next night the stand will be alot more full.
Of course you would have noticed this aswell-you're chip on the shoulder with UTD is incredible.
Anyone who doesn't believe me have a look at our forum.
1500 seats, not 1700.
I was in the old stand looking across to the new, and it was not pretty much full. Two thirds tops. Plenty of gaps; bits of the letters sticking out all over.
Stu how do you think we would have made up the figure juts out of curiosity?
Also-how come you never hear other away fans disputing the attendances(bar Limerick:rolleyes:)?
It wouldn't have anything to do with your well known dislike for GUFC?
Also how many fans did ye bring last night?
Are you asking me how you would have made up a number?
Or is it my guesstimate? I would have said 1000 in the new stand, 500 in the old going on that camerawork, and 200 around the ground.
I'm just curious as to where everyone was. Your explanation has been shot down. I thought the figure was high when it was announced at the game, and having seen that the stand was a lot emptier than I realised. You can rant away if you want, or you can enter a grown up debate.
Jebus, what a surprise that you've come into this thread....another member of the obsession with GUFC Club.
No point of argueing with you. It'll just go round in circles.Best of Luck next season.
So you're saying -
- The new stand was more than 2/3rds full, even though it had plenty of gaps? Don't believe that.
- The old stand (1400 capacity) was well over half full? The pictures show that to be highly doubtful.
- 400 standing? Again, the video shows that to be highly doubtful, insofar as you can see. No-one standing in front of the old stand (accounted for in the main stand figure), about 75 behind the goal the third goal goes into?
surprised you're still here conor, I thought you'd be safely tucked away at galwaynet ranting about yours truly, starting another poll about me, or trying to pick me out of photos of Limerick supporters. Obsession indeed. The really sad thing Conor is that all of that is true and has already happened!!:eek:
Stu the reason you couldnt see how many people were in the old stand is because there was no lights in it and all our hardcore who make the noise have moved to Section C & D where the majority actually stand at the back.
Im involved in the running of match nights in Terryland for over 20 years and I thought there was closer to 2,500 in the ground and yes we attempt to count everyone that enters the ground for Health & Safety records. You will be glad to know we will actually have a bar code system for all season tickets next year so we wont have to rely on your tremendous mathematical brain.
You were slating our mascot for upsetting your subs at half time and the cheek of our players for actually contesting the game last night and not letting ye win on our forum here and its great to see that other mathematical genius jebus who slate us every chance he gets joins in. Most fans that come to terryland have commented on the ground improvements and how big our crowds were but all you can do is criticise and call us liars get a life id say most UCD fans are embarrased by your posts today.
Actually it was a poll about the most annoying poster on foot.ie
You were 1st(i think) and Pineaplle Stu 2nd-what a coincidence.
But yes you are obsessed.Goodnight.
And the photos Conor? What about when you went searching the internet for photos of Limerick fans so you could try and find out who I was
And wouldn't you have won except you didn't accept that the amount of people who voted for where doing so because they actually find you annoying :D
It's a sad life indeed Conor
my estimate for the CorkVBohs final about 5000ish. anything more precise?
Oh christ such a thread, Galway and UCD arguing ffs. Who gives a ****e what the attendance given here is? It's not as if the thread has any real signifigance anyway.
