Any word on the number of season tickets sold?

Kerry FC, capacity upped to 1400 for opening game v Cobh Ramblers, strange as it was at something like 1150, maybe the Cobh away support is being welcomed in the traditional Kerry tourism way, where there is money to be made! ?
Apparently Cobh not getting any away tickets from Kerry?
All sold to home fans?
Disappointing if true.
Saw a Cobh fan saying that on another forum - definitely the Kerry board to blame, as the fans were just buying whatever was released, and there was no indication of an away section on the site website.
Maybe Cobh fans just bought home tickets??
There'd always be teething problems, but not leaving aside tickets for away fans seems a pretty awful oversight.
I thought after the whole Bohs rovers nonsense there was now a minimum percentage you had to give to away fans like 5 or 10 percent
Great night for them. First game in the League of Ireland. Huge day for them and the people who worked so hard over the years to get them there. Let them enjoy tonight and this can be sorted in the future.Enjoy and have a great season.
The participation agreement has a minium % in it for away fans for sure.
Id say it was an oversight by Kerry or they just expected Cobh fans to buy tickets for the home areas and werent segregating.
I doub tmany Cobh fans travel but they will need to get organised when the bigger div 1 teams are visiting.
Apparently 20-30 Cobh fans have a bus and all organised but the away tickets were sold before they got some.it’s poor form not to hold a few back really,as said earlier there is a certain percentage required, 10% I think, so Kerry may have actually incurred a fine before even playing in the league, impressive that.
Big crowd at Cobh Ramblers Clubhouse on Friday night, 2-300 hundred. The match was shown live on a big screen through LOITV, great atmosphere and well done to all involved.
Plenty of catering provided on the night to entice the big turnout.
The result was an added bonus!
:embarrassed:
UCD do the same for away games in the campus bar. I don't know is there a corporate rate (like the Sky Sports pub licences)? Maybe there should be.
Hopefully they don't go down that route. The LOI TV should be seen as promotional tool for the moment. I had the Sligo V Rovers match put on in the local the other night. Its better to have LOI on pub screens where possible , every bit of promotion the league can get the better.

Dick Shakespeare on Dalymount and Tolka, not much good news in that article for Shels and Tolka Park anyway......
That's pretty damn forthright.
Though his maths is crap. 8,000 packed to the rafters vs 15,000 a quarter full. So where did the other 4,250 fans go in the first versus the latter example ? Were they really all only interested in going because it was a packed stadium ? Nonsense talk.
