you get out what you put in
Tizz, good win as I expected of ye.
Bella,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Innish good victory.
Towlie good away win against the view.
Rise if ye could only show a bit of stable form ye would be up in the Premier.
The Villa had a bruisin affair in Coachford. They also missed a peno in the second half.Tizz they are startin to put results together an Saturdays game may not be what your expectin.
I was wonderin how I would approach what happened Saturday with us.I would have no problem if it were true that we were played off the park.Or if the ref robbed us,the weather was ****e or the opposition were overly physciall and just wanted to kick us to death. But that wasnt the case.
I'd love to put my finger on what went wrong because at least then you could work on it.But this was just one of those games where everything we did went against us,and the harder we tried the worse we got.It was a freak result not because we lost a game but because the entire team not 1 or 2 had a bad game.
Glenthorn were as bad so that ment you had 22 players on the pitch who couldnt string 2 passes together. The ref said it was one of the worst games he's ever had to do in 15 years of bein a ref.For an Aul ref to say that beats it all. We've all had those games where nothin goes right an Sturday was ours.It will be gotten out of the system durin the week you can count on that an a few lessons will be learned.Loosin any game is hard to take but its the way we lost that is harder to take.
Friendly Required In Cork Vs English Team, Sat 29th March
I represent Old Fullerians AFC from the Watford Sunday Football League
in England (club website: www.webteams.co.uk/oldfullerians) We are
coming over to Cork on Friday 28th March for the weekend.
Presently we have a friendly against Marlboro Trust FC on Sunday 30th
March are looking for a friendly on the Saturday 29th March. We are a
friendly club and thus looking for a friendly but competitive match.
I know its quite short notice and know Cort City FC have a big local
derby away that evening, but wondering if anyone can assist or point me in the right direction to arranging a friendly even if it means playing
in the morning or early afternoon. Also I know you dont get your AUL Cork fixtures till about a week before, but we can wait till quite late to arrange a match.
Cheers,

You win matchs because you want to be champions not because you are champions...... things will not be as clear cut as some might think with regards to who might win the league.A bit of competition never hurt anyone.....
fair dues littleman, still all to play for and the competition is upping everyone's game, we're expecting a fair ole bite from villa on sat but we'd expect nothing less, enjoy the paddy's parade !
Grattan in the semi final of the AOH cup
AOH Cup 5th Round(
Grattan Utd 6 - 0 Ballyvolane
Aoh 5th rd Grattan 6 Ballyvolane 0
What a difference a week can make in your football fortunes.Looks like last weeks result was what it was a harsh lesson but a lesson well learned. We went ahead wth the game up in our own place reluctantly because Ballyvolane could not ko at 2:30 in Blarney's Fifa pitch.Their goalkeeper had to go back to work for 4pm ?????.
Our place was playable just.It actually suited us because the ball flew around on the wet surface an bein a bit shall we say lighter than some of our opponients we ran them a merry dance.3 nil at half time an another 3 in the second. It wrecks my head how we performed last week compared to this game. But overall it was a game we needed to win and we did it very well.Jp got 2,Figo an Harry 1 apeice an 2 og's.
Figo was excellent on the day an considering he missed last weeks game it was good to see him in such good form before the Mjc game next week.Pa Connors,Darren Geaney,Kevin Goldsmith an Brian Barry wer'nt available for selection this week between work an injury so I think that the result just shows how much strenght in depth we have an to get a result like we did after last weeks display says an awful lot about our spirit an selfbelife.
As to the semis, dont really care who we draw home or away.Would have prefered if they had a neutral semi some where like Blarney or Mayfields Fifa pitchs.Under lights an a superb surface would suit any of the perspective sides left in the competition and make it a little bit more special. Many moons ago I had the pleasure to play in the semis of the Aoh in the Cross an I must say I enjoyed it .But with all the different leagues wanting it for their own semis an finals it was only a matter of time before the had to cut down the number of games played on it.But you never know what they might do on the Aul commitee,we live in hope.
Ps,wasnt surprised to see so many games off with the weather either.
