A Motherwell team containing Scott McDonald downed Celtic in 2005 for no other reason than that you try to win every game you play. He scored a late double and he's a big Celtic fan. I'm hoping all the teams will do their professional duty.

By the way, Celtic were denied a blatant penalty for a player holding Caldwell with both arms and Scott McDonald had what seems a perfectly good goal ruled out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9iAl8MoHdg . If Rangers win this on goal difference those decisions will have been crucial.

I was at the game today and I have to say Nakamura and Robson ran the show for Celtic. That said they never came out of 2nd gear and if it comes down to goal difference not making the most of their chances could come back to haunt them. McDonald's offside goal was on as well

Completely true. The 3-0 old firm win for Rangers in October was riddled with some of the most outrageous referee decisions I have ever witnessed. The guy clearly has a pro Rangers agenda. Craig Levein was fully justified in his comments about McCurry.

Seen the charade at the weekend terrible refeering but what cant you expect from a rangers ref at ibrox rangers feel they are 'owed' by the SPL for getting to the cup final i cant remember it even been mentioned when we got to sevilla, we need a team to step up and do us a favour aberdeen look the best bet at the moment but who knows maybe st mirren can pull off a shock at love st :D:D:D

wouldn't be the 1st time st mirren did us a big favour to win the league. 1986
Celtic snatched the championship by edging out Heart of Midlothian on the last day of the campaign. The margin was on goal difference, as Celtic beat St Mirren 5-0 at Love Street and Hearts fell to two late goals from Dundee at Dens Park.

Motherwell at Fir Park will be tricky. St Mirren at Love Street should be an easyish win and then its down to the last game at Pittodrie. Aberdeen have a severe dislike for Rangers, its a shame they still arent fighting for third spot. Dropping 2 points is realistic out of those 9 available.

Celtic will have a tough enough game against Dundee Utd at Tannadice.

If Rangers do drop 2 points and Celtic win it would come down to Goal Difference. The game at Love Street could be very important.........

Anyway, Celtic got the benefit of a wrong decision against Motherwell (corner instead of a goal kick, Samaras scored from it) and Scott McDonald's offside goal in the 3-2 OF win, allowed as onside by linesman Murphy!

Scottish football, don't you just love it?

Rangers' form has been poor for a few weeks now and I reckon they could easily drop points, especially if their heads are down after Wednesday.

As did Motherwell in the last minute - they just didnt score from their corner!

More pertinent is probably Aberdeens incorrectly disallowed goal at Celtic Park which denied them a point and gifted us 2.

My god, the thought of cheering Fernando scoring a winning goal tonight is perverse to say the least but Ill hit the roof with joy if he does it!!!!!!!!

On Scott Mcdonalds goal in the 3-2 win. Ive watched that since on the TV and though the pundits seemed to be in no doubt that it was offside - I just cant see how they were so sure. I couldnt see clear daylight (though I think theyve changed the terminology now for that, something to do with "the bit of your body you score with" being offside or something???) Setanta dont do the superimposed lines that Sky have, as yet - They need an Andy Gray............. To me it just looked very tight.

Rangers are muck to watch and got their comeuppance, totally outplayed by a much superior footballing team who were a joy to watch against such rubbish ,Zenit's support was amazing aswell, glad they won.

Rangers were beaten at their own game. Anytime Zenit lost the ball they dropped deep and put 10 men behind the ball a la Rangers. But when Zenit won the ball they were twice as fast as Rangers to get the counter attack in motion.

After what happened in Manchester last night, whats the odds on Rangers making it to the UEFA Cup 2010 in Lansdowne? Or is it 2011?

There's still a few permutations left in this title race. If Rangers lose to St. Mirren on Monday then Celtic will be all but officially crowned champions. However in the more likely event that Rangers win it will leave Celtic and Rangers trying to outscore each other on the last day. It's been thoroughly enjoyable watching Rangers disintigrate, let's hope it continues.:ball:

Goals scored. In the event that GD did match it would probably mean Rangers had outscored Celtic. Currently the GD is +50 for Rangers and +57 for Celtic. If Celtic win on Sunday that will move them to 58+ meaning Rangers have to add at least 8 to their goal difference in two games. Pity Scott McDondald's perfect goal was ruled out last week.

with two away games left, against st mirren and aberdeen I can't see the manky mob getting more than 4 points, fingers crossed! that would leave celtic only needing a point from thursdays game. on recent form there is no fear of rangers pulling back the 7 goal advantage celtic have.

The season was dead and buried at that point as far as I was concerned. Having been at Rugby Park in 2003 and Fir Park in 2005, losing the title on the last day of each season, Im pleased to tell everyone Ill be watching this one on tv - so celtic should be ok!!!!!!

well hate to correct you but i believed that with all the extra games the huns had and with us having two home old firm games left that this would be how the season ended. believe it or not im more nervous and worried now than then but after 2 years ago i think i have reason to be a little cautious:D anyway stick your money on McGeady to score, it would be fitting if he was to score as he is overdue and would be the icing on the cake for his great season
