I think the point may be that organizing a trip to Kazakhstan with a week's notice isn't anyone's idea of fun. Or cheap.

Is the game on Wednesday definitely on Setanta? I don't see any mention of it on their TV listings. Last weeks game was once it was confirmed.
They cant pay to host the game AND someone to update their website.
The listings haven't been updated but it has been confirmed by Tony Whelan, who I believe is Setanta's head of programming.

Its on Setanta 1 (not Setanta Ireland)
Still waiting for his answer. If he can make the accusation, then he can back it up. Or can he?Quote:

I don't care whether he is tired or not, he knows what he posted about me, I'm asking him to explain it. Just asking him, and only him, to back it up with evidence.
Evidence? Get a bleeding grip
It was a light hearted jab at your multiple posts here on travel within ireland to LOI games, including your all time classic "there's no direct bus between tallaght and Phibsboro"
Only 2 days ago you posted that the trip to Copenhagen is too expensive, yet you tried to tell PartySaint that European football is about visitng places you don't normally go.
fight fight fight fight
I think his point was its the more exotic places, i.e. copenhagen wouldn't be somewhere you wouldn't normaly think of going, or at least compared to the nether regions of eastern europe for a hoilday.
You get a bleeding grip. You were asked to prove it, and you couldn't. Accept it.Quote:

Furthermore, it has zero to do with LOI teams in Europe.
All hail mypost. Roddy Collins step down, we have a new king of LOI.
Ukraine is dirt cheap and borders 7 countries, so there's a fair number of ways of getting there. It's not Australia you're going to.Quote:

The number of countries it borders has absolutely no bearing on how easy (or cheap) it is to get there. What do you suggest...that the Sligo fans going to Poltava take one of Ryanair's regular flights from Dublin to Moldova or Belarus and get the bus from there? Lvov airport is served by a grand total of 6 international routes..Vienna, Prague, Munich, Warsaw, Timisoara, and Moscow
Budapest and Kiev is 7 hours from Lvov, Warsaw is 6, Krakow is 5, Rzeszow is 2,5.Quote:

So do you admit its an embarassing climbdown then Dodge, or are you just using the above post to take away from the(actual) content of the post?
Face it Dodge.
The only honourable course involves a dark room, a glass of whiskey and a gun.
Climbing down from the accusation he put to you of course - "and as I've caught you out, you've been forced into an embarrassing climbdown".
I'd go with the dark room, pistol and brandy. Could take a few LOI folk in there too!
Anyway...
All fixtures confirmed for upcoming games (all kick off times Irish)
Wednesday 27th July
19:00 Copenhagen v Shamrock Rovers (live on Setanta Sports 1)
Thursday 28th July
17:30 Karpaty Lvov v St Patrick's Athletic
18:00 Vorskla v Sligo Rovers
Tuesday 2nd August
19:45 Shamrock Rovers v Copenhagen (live on RTE2)
Thursday 4th August
17:45 Sligo v Vorskla
19:45 St Patrick's Athletic v Karpaty (in Tallaght Stadium btw)
(that Sligo kick off isn't a typo BTW)
Oh and Pats and Sligo gams scheduled for Friday 5th, now being played Sunday 7th.
Bohs/Rovers goes ahead on Friday 5th
Presumably to have the game played during daytime to meet UEFA floodlight requirements? Galway did similar in the league a couple of years ago when their floodlights broke.
yeah, they're floodlights aren't up to the standard required but they got a UEFA derogation as they can play the game in sunlight
The fact all are away first, would have to give some confidence.
I don't suppose any Ukrianian TV are going to come over to show the matches, but are both Pats and Sligos matches on Ukranian TV on thursday?
