can anyone tel me how many clubs have been found guilty by obj in FAI Junior cup during last dozen years or so
Locally, 2 I think,Geraldines for that famous time Finnan got the measuring tape out and Carew park were the others with the Newport objetion...
Very sorry to dissapoint Tipperary lads but pike are above board.ye will soon find out.ye obviously haven't checked the rule book.:p
Correct me if I'm wrong here guys, but wasn't it Pike who objected against Clonmel Town 2 or 3 years ago for the same reason, i.e: playing an ineligable player. Town were then disqualified from the Competition. If this is true and it may not be, but if it is and Pike have made the same mistake as Town did..............then there can be only one outcome and Pike can have only themselves to blame..................Karma eh!!
Serpico,
I hope Pike survive but I spoke with your lads this morning and I can tell you they fear the worst. Colm Carroll has not been regraded. Thier only hope is that the objections are not completed properly. However with certain St Michaels people involved with the FAI I imagine it's curtains for Pike.
You can always count on the fai to make sure their competitions are a farce.....
Red Card.... You seem to know alot about the Rule book having one in your pocket. Would your Buddy Paddy Collins be happy if he found out you were on this website now talking about games you have Refereed in asking fellas to go half with you on a Pizza the other night whiel you only have 15mins of a break...... Ask Big Feet Big Socks what paddy told him to do when found out who JockMob was.....
Have a good weekend lads im out of the Country hopefully when im back there will be no Objections put in against teams in the City give us a break....
Incorrect..Fairview initially refused to play therefore giving Dines a walkover but the pitch dimensions were incorrect by a couple of metres,Fairview objected to the FAI and won. Geraldines were stuffed in the re-arranged fixture.
Check out www.fai.ie, the rulebook is online.
Loving how every few days someone posts up here trying to start something from nothing again. Give it a break lads.
lads all this talk of objections is total rubbish, why cant football be decieded on the field,as some one who was involved with a team that was screwed out of an fai final,it makes me sick,ye were beaten by better teams, get over it
I dont think people realise how serious this situation with Pike Rovers is....my understanding is that they havent got a leg to stand on and will be thrown out and there isnt even grounds for an appeal
just on the 6 o clock news that st michaels and kilmallock have objections in
Does anyone know of a case where a team was illegal in the FAI but escaped becuase objection was not in order?
it would be both clubs responsibility to have ther papers from the ldmc to prove the lads were regraded. If they didn't they may be in a sticky situation...
this is getting boring now. I am sure both clubs will hear by early next week if there are objections and the reasons. Would be great to post on here and info....
seems almost all (if not all) disputes , objs , etc involve Lim clubs. Is this possibly down to local
grievience , competitiveness ,club secretary`s naievety or plain old greed. Rumours abound in regard to how strong certain Lim clubs are each season , signing players from far and wide .
It was always a joy to be involved in Junior cup but this win at all costs is doing huge damage to
a great competition.
What next? junior clubs paying players!!!!!
I hope st michaels have plenty of money.!!!this is goin to cost them big time.
[QUOTE=Goals4fun;1336231 I am sure both clubs will hear by early next week if there are objections and the reasons.
it was on the news saying the semi finals are in disarray because there are two objections in regarding degrading players

regional must be quietly rubbing there hands with glee at all this nonsense.at least to my knowledge all there players have been "junior" players for a number of years and they wont be running into the player being league of ireland.its a shame that teams spend time looking for objections than taking there beating.its therefor all to see that pike have a strong squad this year with afew ex league of ireland players, like fairview also.i find it hard to believe that we are at the semi final stage and people are objecting to pike playing these players.have they not been playing the same players for the last 6 rounds without any grievances?how come its taken to the semi final stage before an objection is made?pike are long enough in the game and have enough experience within the club to have ther house in order paperwork wise.if its a case of the LDMC making a mistake in the registration of these players then they should all be forced to resign.it will be an absolute disgrace and to make it worse in a year when 3 limerick clubs have reached the semi final stage.the sooner it is sorted out tho the better for all involved
I would like to object to a spelling mistake - Its Finnin not Finnan. Rule 23 section 5A clearly states that the match card must be filled out correctly. Spelling mistakes will not be tolerated. What club are you involved with mulla? I will have to deduct you 6 league points for that.
lads there is so much diff reports.
whats the facts is there an objection gone in against pike??
if so what are micheals objecting over??
its makin a total shambles of the competition, would be great to see a tipp team win it but a clonmel v regional final would be a huge anti climax to the cup
Odd that they've lodged 5 different complaints instead of just the 1, it appears that they're trying every foreseeable avenue to bring Pike down. Whatever happens they're will be plenty of questions to be asked.
