"heard they have no honest players like park aswell" your not even making sense to yourself.

"admires yer pitch", it's one of the best pitches in the whole league, then again a good pitch means nothing to a mucker like yourself. mungrets pitch is fairly good too...shame about their team :D, well at least they won't get relegated again this season...but we live in hope :p
in div 1a you need to be rough. its different to premier football, and most 1a games are won by roughing. hence summerville are top of the league, by playing prob the least attractive (but effective) football in the division. .
if div 1a was won on football skill alone wembley would have been promoted years ago. even last year without all their young stars they were the best footballing side in the division but got blown away by less skillful teams.
Summerville do go overboard, especially the digging off the ball. It could be their downfall yet, at the coonagh game last week they were up for a scrap with coonagh, with 5 mins left and 2-0 up. ridiculous.
Lads ,cool the heels on this thread or there'll be people getting banned from this Forum.
Listen Girls,(Parkfan, themerryman and hoops) if yee want to have a bitchin session, i'm sure the Desparate Housewives chatroom is full of bitch slaps and goss from other naughty little girls. Stop using a 1a soccer thread for stupid arguments about who hits who and whos grass is greener etc.
S'ville players up for a scrap and going round hitting fellas, sorry but am i reading this right.is it the same S'ville?
the pressure to get promoted is big this year. with 3 strong teams getting promoted to premier last season(corbally, star and herbertstown) and 3 less quality teams getting relegated (park, hill and mungret) this is the year to get promoted.
I mean no disrespect to park hill or mungret so please guys dont go to town on the fact i mentioned those teams.
1A next season will be even more competitive, the possibilty is that charleville and star/hererbertstown will be in 1a next year, maybe even aisling(doubtful).
Also With Kilmallock and dromore looking good for promotion to 1a, the standard of 1a next year will he higher than this year. it shows that even tho this year is tight, the quicker you get to premier the better.
i wasn't going to comment on this best eleven post but parkfan has a point....every time these come up shannon teams are totally ignored except the odd mention of "the legend" gerry kelly...strange that seeing as we are fifth in table with just as much chance of promotion as bruff wembley or caherdavin...suppose its just cause to see us play often ye would have to travel to shannon...
HERES MY REAL BEST 11 IN 1A :
1. PARK KEEPER
2.PARK RIGHT BACK
3.PARK LEFT BACK
4. PARK CENTRE BACK
5.PARK'S OTHER CENTRE BACK
6. BRENDAN MCDERMOTT IS IT???
7. PARK RIGHT WINGER
AND YE GET MY DRIFT FROM THERE ME THINKS!!
PARK - WHAT A TEAM.. YE SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELVES!!!
EVERYBODY - BUALA BOS FOR PARK...
have you seen them Mungret play. cotter, mcnicholas, enright, burke....i'd say they are freal footballers/hardly dirty players
Reading other quotes by you - you say you want tp play in the summer, in dry pitches and do not playing in the rain and mud- maybe you should stick to play station soccer with a cup of cocoa
woah, is there an echo in here:D
I've heard one lad has scored most of Geraldines goals, if its true he must be in the best 11 - thats around 20 goals? Anyone know who is he?
Who's scored most for Mungret, Summerville, others ???
Obviously all the mungret team aren't dirty but the majority are, i've seen it with my own eye's.
I think nobody wants to play in the rain and the mud, if everyone had a choice they would want to play on a dry pitch unless they are playing a team who are better footballers than themselves, then a bad pitch can be a great leveller.
yesterday it was summerville and today its mungret who are a dirty team i must be really out of touch with junior football
Ive seen both Summerville games against Coonagh and didnt think they were dirty. Two good physically competitive games as you would expect from a team trying to win the league and another trying to stay in the division.
I wouldnt say any team in 1a is dirty.
very hard to say who deserves to be in any top 11. most people dont know opposition teams very well and only see them once or twice a season, hence they pick most their own team and maybe include a few well known players from other clubs.
sure wait till the limerick leader comes up with their best 11, altho they do pick their players out of a hat!
going off the point a bit, but i think referess, bad as they are, should be the ones who decide each year who are the best players in each division. they at least get to see players on a more regular basis than most.
also, why dont the ldmc have a junior awards night every year like the schoolboys do? I know its prob cos the ldmc are too tight or prob could not care less.
I think each division should have player and manager of the year awards. Too much good work goes unrecognised.
any thoughts?
sound of jealousy there sees it. is it because you were never good enough for premier let alone the lower divisions that you love sturring the sh1t in this thread

have you played with anyone bar wembley?
Where are getting your info??? Seamus Mulcahy would not leave Wembley, even if they did'nt get up to premier this year, which they should by the way. He could have gone three years ago, but is a proper clubman. Unfortunate for Pike, but 'Sham' will were the blue and white hoops of Wembley next year my friend.:D :D :D
these were the odds given for the 1a title from a local paddy power bookmaker :
wembley 4/5
summerville 7/4
bruff 7/1
caherdavin 8/1
shannon 16/1
geraldines 25/1
also got relegation odds :
park 1/25
coonagh 4/6
hill 6/4
cappamore 6/4
balla 5/1
mungret 20/1
there's some good value bets to be had there id say...
anyone any info on shannon?? - im thinking of backing them at 16/1 ... looks a huge price to me with the recent run they have been on....
