I don't feel guilty that I smiled an nodded as I just heard this.
Mainly because I thought of the fact - Argentine Pope, murderer of Argentines died. Some stroke of luck.

Bye bye to an Evil Witch.
She was already dead to me anyway...
Very moved by some of the tributes to Baroness Thatcher. Particularly inspired by George Galloway's reference to Elvis Costello - 'Tramp the dirt down.'
This will get ye out of mourning...

I see the hash-tag #nowthatchersdead sparked a bit of a panic on Twitter amongst Cher fans.

Somewhat appropriate that a couple of Argentinians should have the last laugh tonight...
Saddened to hear the passing of Tony Grealish, only 56.
I saw Tony play many times and just missed out on the Charlton era I think. I remember him playing for Leyton Orient, Brighton and WBA. Not sure what happened to him after that. A red headed midfielder. Every team needs one. Sad to hear the news.
Paul Shane once of the TV programme Hi de Hi now alas bye de bye.

Jiroemon Kimura, oldest man ever, died at 116, in Kyoto.
Henry Cecil,Horse Trainer.
Nope, ever.
Just not the oldest person ever.
That last list shows there are just (still?) two people alive from the 19th century.
Taking the safe middle ground between yourself and Osarusan, BS. The Beeb reports him as the oldest recorded man in history. So you can both be right.

I can't imagine what 116 years must feel like, the sense of being present before any other living memory, of being unending, of the slow, interminable decline as the modern world catches up and, finally, overtakes you. A bit like Trap's reign, I guess...
That stops at 100 people, this says there are a few more outside the 100:
